Kuo Just Misses a Bounty

Level 20 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Kitty Kuo
Kitty Kuo

Kitty Kuo raised it up from under the gun and David Ivers three-bet shoved all in from the small blind. Kuo called with both players having similar stacks.

Kitty Kuo: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
David Ivers: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The flop fell {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Ivers took the lead after hitting a pair of aces. However, the {j-Clubs} on the turn gave Kuo a set of jacks and a lock on the hand. After counting the stacks, it was Kuo who was at risk for 176,000, leaving Ivers with just 9,000 chips after the hand.

Peters Squeezes Deeb, Earns Bounty

Level 19 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
David Peters
David Peters

David Peters raised to 12,000 in early position and Shaun Deeb raised to 35,000. Krasimir Yankov called in the big blind before Peters moved all in, putting the decision back on Deeb.

Deeb contemplated his move for a minute before making the fold, leaving Yankov at risk against Peters.

Krasimir Yankov: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
David Peters: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}

Peters held the higher kicker, but the {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flop appeared to set the table for a chop. The {3-Spades} turn kept Peters in front, while the {4-Diamonds} river denied Yankov the chop as his tournament run came to an end.

Sanchez Continues to Climb

Level 19 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Mauricio Salazar Sanchez
Mauricio Salazar Sanchez

Mauricio Sanchez came into the day as one of the biggest stacks in the room and has shown no sign of slowing down. Sanchez raised it up in early position and Richard Alati put the last of his 16,000 chips in the middle. He was called by Joe Gola in the small blind along with the big blind and Sanchez.

The flop came {k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and the action checked to Sanchez who bet 32,000. Gola called from the small blind and the big blind got out of the way. The two remaining players checked down the side pot on the {6-Diamonds} turn and the {4-Clubs} river.

Gola tabled {9-Spades}{7-Spades} but was already beat by the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} from Alati. However, Sanchez flipped over {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for a pair of kings and scooped both the main and side pot and collected a bounty ticket.

"Rampage" Survives the Bubble

Level 18 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Ethan Yau
Ethan Yau

The action folded to Andy Wilson on the button who was the big stack after doubling up on the previous hand. Wilson shoved all in and Ethan "Rampage" Yau called off his stack of 119,500 in the small blind.

Ethan Yau: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Andy Wilson: {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}

"Don't do it to me," Yau pleaded with the dealer as he hoped to survive elimination. The board ran out {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Yau barely broke a sweat as he earned back some of his chips.

Talbot Gets Kicked to the Rail

Level 18 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Parker Talbot
Parker Talbot

Pedro Garagnani opened to 10,500 in early position and Parker Talbot three-bet shoved all in for 86,000 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Garagnani who quickly called to put Talbot at risk.

Parker Talbot: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Pedro Garagnani: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Talbot was looking at three outs and the flop of {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} provided no immediate help. The {3-Diamonds} on the turn and the {2-Spades} on the river meant Talbot was eliminated and Garagnani collected the bounty.

David Stamm
David Stamm

Rayan Chamas raised to 8,000 on the button and Day 1 chip leader David Stamm called in the big blind.

Stamm checked the {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop and Chamas continued for 12,000. Stamm then announced a raise to 48,000 and Chamas took some time before making the call.

Stamm moved all-in after the {2-Spades} turn for 170,000 and Chamas asked for a count. After a few moments, Chamas showed the {a-Diamonds} as he mucked his hand to the dealer, awarding the pot to Stamm.

Greenwood Chipping Up

Level 16 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

Sam Greenwood was heads up to the {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop against Frederick Goldberg in the small blind.

Goldberg checked to Greenwood, who fired 15,000 into the middle. Goldberg then check-raised to 40,000 and Greenwood asked to see the rest of his stack behind.

Greenwood called to the {2-Spades} turn and Goldberg moved all-in. Greenwood called instantly, showing Goldberg the bad news.

Frederick Goldberg: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Sam Greenwood: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}

Goldberg's jacks were behind and the {q-Spades} river changed nothing, as Greenwood continued to build his stack.

Jacobson Rises to the Top

Level 15 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

Martin Jacobson and Andrew Fair were heads-up in a three-bet pot with around 110,000 in the middle. The board read {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Jacobson checked from the big blind. Fair checked it back and the {j-Spades} completed the board.

Jacobson counted out a bet of 95,000 on the river which put Fair into the tank for a couple of minutes. He eventually flicked in a call and Jacobson rolled over {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} for the best hand to rise near the top of the leaderboard.

Moorman Collects Berkey's Bounty

Level 14 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Christopher Moorman
Christopher Moorman

On a flop of {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, it didn't take very long for Matt Berkey and Chris Moorman to get all of their chips in the middle. Berkey turned over {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} in the hijack for a set of threes while Moorman held {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} on the button for the nut flush.

The {7-Spades} on the turn and the {k-Spades} on the river could not improve Berkey to a full house. The stacks were counted and Moorman had the slightly bigger stack, sending Berkey to the rail and collecting his bounty.
