Peters Applies the Pressure

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Christoph Vogelsang slid a pot-sized bet of 19,500 into the middle on a board showing {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} after David Peters checked from the big blind.

Peters then announced all-in, putting the decision on Vogelsang for his remaining chips. Vogelsang took almost the whole 30-second clock before making the fold, while Peters recovered some lost chips.

At the same time, Mikita Badziakouski was leaving the other table after losing the rest of his short stack. The remaining seven players then combined into a single table.

Yan Crushes Vogelsang's Two Pair

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Chris Hunichen opened to 5,500 from the button and was called by Christoph Vogelsang in the small blind. Then David Yan three-bet from the big blind to 14,000 which produced a call from both of his opponents.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Vogelsang checked to Yan, who continued for another 14,000. This saw a fold from Hunichen and a call from Vogelsang.

The turn was the {k-Hearts} and both players decided to check to the {k-Spades} river, which saw another round of checks.

"Two pair," announced Vogelsang as he flipped over {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for kings and threes, but then Yan turned over {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for kings and queens to win the pot.

Kisacikoglu Pads his Chip Lead

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Sam Greenwood opened to 6,000 from under the gun, with the action folding around to Orpen Kisacikoglu in the big blind.

Kisacikoglu called to see the {k-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop before checking to Greenwood, who continued for 4,000. Kisacikoglu called again and both players checked the {4-Hearts} turn.

Another round of checks followed the {a-Spades} river, with Kisacikoglu revealing {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a pair. Greenwood mucked and Kisacikoglu took down another pot.

Hero Call Pays off for Kisacikoglu; Katz Exits

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

After Orpen Kisacikoglu made it 30,000 preflop, the action was then on Cary Katz.

"Alright I'll gamble with you," he said as he threw in calling chips.

The flop came out {8-Hearts}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Kisacikoglu bet a measly 5,000 into the 60,000 pot.

"This guy's milking me! That's Mikita's job!" Katz joked as he tossed in a chip.

The turn came the {3-Hearts} and both players checked to see the {2-Hearts} on the river.

Kisacikoglu checked to Katz, who then bet 32,500, which left him with only 2,000 behind.
This sent Kisacikoglu deep into the tank, causing him to use several of his timebanks.

"What do you have? I can give you some help." Katz chirped after a while.

Kisacikoglu then set a stack of chips in front of him to make the call and Katz flipped over {6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for a bricked straight draw which left him with only seven-high. Kisacikoglu then rolled over {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} for a whopping ace-high to take the massive pot.

"Wowww I guess nobody believes me anymore," Katz sighed as his chips were pushed to Kisacikoglu. Katz then proceeded to bust the very next hand to none other than Makita Badziakouski.

Christopher Hunichen: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Hunichen took the lead on the {k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop, and remained ahead after the {8-Diamonds} turn. Vogelsang spiked the {2-Clubs} river to complete his flush, doubling his stack through Hunichen.
