Clisby Turns It

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Chris Clisby opened under the gun with a raise to 140,000. It folded around to Anders Prokopowich on the big blind, and he slid out the call.

Both players checked the {10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop, but when Prokopowich checked the {q-Clubs} turn, Clisby fired 140,000 again. Prokopowich called, and they both checked the {5-Diamonds} river.

Clisby showed down the winning hand with {a-}{q-} and Prokopowich showed a ten as he mucked his hand.

Kent Shows Top Pair

Level 25 : 25,000/5,000, 50,000 ante

Sheldon Kent limped his button, Anders Prokopowich completed in the small blind and Chris Clisby checked his option.

The action was checked to Kent when the flop came {j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and he bet 150,000. Prokopowich called and Clisby folded. Both players checked the {9-Clubs} turn card and Prokopowich led out for 200,000 on the {7-Diamonds} river. Kent quickly raised to 600,000 and Prokopowich mucked his hand with the {j-Clubs} face up. Kent showed the {q-Hearts} and scooped the pot.

Ellis Hits Huge Double

Level 25 : 25,000/5,000, 50,000 ante

Anders Prokopowich was under the gun, and he raised it to 150,000. Chris Clisby smooth-called from the button before Dylan Ellis came over top with a shove for 820,000 from the small blind.

Prokopowich got out of the way pretty quickly, but Clisby dropped into the tank for close to a minute before finally announcing call.

It was quite classic, but they were off to the races with Clisby holding the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} over cards and Ellis playing a pair of jacks. There wasn't much of a sweat as Ellis flopped a set on the {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} board, and he collected a huge double.

Prokopowich Wins Battle of the Blinds

Level 25 : 25,000/5,000, 50,000 ante

Sheldon Kent limped from the small blind and Anders Prokopowich checked his option. Kent checked it over to Prokopowich when the flop came {10-Spades}{a-Hearts}{q-Spades} and he bet 100,000. Kent put in a raise to 250,000 and Prokopowich called.

Kent checked blind on the {10-Hearts} turn card and Prokopowich moved all in for 1,600,000. After taking a minute to think Kent folded and showed a {q-}.

Deal Time

Level 25 : 25,000/5,000, 50,000 ante

The remaining four players in the Main Event have decided to chop the fairly substantial remaining prize pool. There's still $144,444 left to be given out, and they've all agreed to lock up $32,000 each.

That leaves $16,444 on the table for first place, so there's still some poker to play, for more than just bragging rights.

Kent Wins a River Raise War

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Dylan Ellis limped in from the small blind and Sheldon Kent checked his option.

Both players checked the {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} flop and the {2-Diamonds} turn. Ellis led for 55,000 on the {k-Clubs} river, Kent clicked it back to 110,000 and Ellis re-raised to 270,000. Kent quickly moved all in for effectively 1,800,000 and Ellis folded.
