Hing Yaung Chow saw his early start come to a crashing halt as he was all-in with a short stack, holding the 10♠7♦. Ivan Ermin tabled the A♦J♠ and they were up against a White Horse Club player with the K♠K♦. Both players at risk had to reload following a A♠Q♣6♠8♦K♥ runout.
At the same time, Wai Kin Yong and one further player lost their final bullet and Eng Soon Ewe entered for the first time. This brings the field to 16 players out of 21 entries remaining.
Jun Wah Yap forced out one opponent as Wei Hsiang Yeu folded to two all-ins behind with a White Horse Club player looking up the 164,000 of Yap. Their Q♥J♣ had two live cards against Yap's A♣K♥ and turned a straight on A♥K♠Q♣10♥. Yap needed a king or ace to avoid defeat and did so thanks to the K♣ to double.

In a heads-up pot to the Q♣10♣9♥ flop, the action checked to Winfred Yu on the button as he made it 10,000 to go. His opponent raises to 40,000 and Yu came along. Both checked the 9♠ turn and the 8♣ river completed the board.
Yu's opponent bet 80,000 and that won the pot uncontested, as Yu let go once he used one additional time bank.
Rene van Krevelen had implemented a limping strategy and one of these hands brought a post flop action when he called two bets by Ming Hong Teoh on the A♦K♣8♦ flop and J♠ turn. They checked the K♠ river with 80,000 in the middle and van Krevelen tabled the Q♦9♦ for a missed gutshot and flush draw.
Teoh had that beat with the A♥8♥ for two pair and won the pot.
All chips go in the middle in three-way action as a White Horse Club player on the button, Wai Kiat Lee from under the gun and Wai Kin Yong from one seat over splash their chips in.
Button: A♣J♠
Wai Kin Yong: 10♦9♦
Wai Kiat Lee: A♦Q♦
The Q♥8♦7♥7♣10♣ board kept Lee ahead all the way as he dodged plenty of outs to knock out an opponent and force Yong to use a bullet on his second entry. Lee was the first player to register for the event and currently sits near the top of the leaderboard.
Wei Hsiang Yeu bet 30,000 on a heads-up turn of A♥K♣6♦7♦ and one of the current big stacks called from the next seat. Both opted to check the J♣ on the river and Yeu flashed the J♠10♦ for a pair of jacks. That was good enough to win the pot, as his opponent mucked.
In the meanwhile, Lun Loon has entered the field to make it 19 total entries.
At the same time on neighbouring tables, Ming Hong Teoh and Paul Teoh increased their stacks. For the former, it was a knockout of Nobuaki Sasaki that earned him a significant boost while Sasaki became the second player to bust.
Paul Teoh bet the pot in three-way action and then called the shove of a White Horse Club player on the A♠K♠Q♣ flop. He was up against K♦J♣ and tabled the J♦10♥ for broadway.
Nothing changed with the Q♠ turn and 8♣ river to unleash one bullet.
Ming Hong Teoh limped in the hijack and so did the cutoff. Wai Kiat Lee then raised to 10,000 on the button for Teoh to shove for 156,000 total. Lee eventually sigh-called within the allocated 30-second shot clock.
Ming Hong Teoh: A♣K♣
Wai Kiat Lee: A♥Q♥
Both players hit the low end of the stream on the 9♠8♣7♦6♠K♠ board to ensure a chop.
