Down to the last 435,000, Lester Edoc got it in with the Q♦J♦ and William Teoh looked him up with the inferior A♦Q♣.
The J♥7♣2♠5♣2♣ board delivered the jack in the window as Edoc doubled. "I am here for the people," he joked in the table chat.
Takashi Ogura raised to 80,000 and then folded when Wai Kiat Lee pushed all-in for 435,000.
Soon after on the same table, three-way action brought a flop of Q♥6♠5♦ flop on which Ogura and Gary Thompson checked. Eng Siang Ewe bet 120,000 and Thompson was the only caller. They checked the J♦ turn and K♦ river for Ewe to win the pot with the A♥J♠.
Over on the live stream table, Lun Loon was all-in with a severe short stack, holding the A♥A♠. Sriharsha Doddapaneni looked him up with the J♠10♠ but only spiked one jack on the K♥J♦7♦K♠K♣ board.
The outer table hasn't provided any major action as of lately but that changed when a battle of the blinds between Winfred Yu and Gary Thompson escalated eventually.
Yu check-called a bet of 120,000 on the A♦K♦8♣10♥ turn. He then jammed the Q♠ river and Thompson called after brief consideration. The Short Deck Super High Roller champion tabled the 5♦4♦ for a busted flush draw, which Thompson had beat holding the 8♠8♦ for a set of eights.
Two players departed to reduce the field to the last two tables as 15 contenders remain in contention.
The first to go was Wei Hsiang Yeu when his A♥8♥ was up against the A♦K♣ of Eng Siang Ewe and the A♣K♦ of Takashi Ogura. No help arrived for Yeu on the 9♠7♣3♥Q♠A♠ board and the stack of Yeu was chopped up.
William Jia had previously lost a big pot on the feature table and departed at the same time.
William Jia had previously doubled to nearly the starting stack again and Eng Soon Ewe then called on the button.
William Jia: A♥10♠
Eng Soon Ewe: K♦9♦
The A♦Q♦2♦3♣9♥ runout left Jia drawing dead on the turn as Ewe finished the job he had previously started in the massive pot.
Over on the outer tables, the flop showed J♠J♦5♣ and Danny Tang check-raised a bet of Sriharsha Doddapaneni from 60,000 to 190,000. Doddapaneni called and the 7♦ turn was checked. Tang bet the Q♠ river for 700,000 and Doddapaneni tank-folded.
Lun Loon jammed for just 160,000 with the K♠J♦ and Lester Edoc looked him up with the A♣J♠ in the big blind.
The K♦Q♠Q♥8♣7♣ board brought the sucker punch double for Loon, who dragged Edoc back into the danger zone.
