The 50 remaining Day 1C players are off on their final 10-minute break of the day. When play resumes registration will have officially closed and numbers for the Main Event will be finalized.
Blinds have climbed for the turbo Day 1C flight of the Poker King Cup Main Event and two more players have jumped in, bringing the total number of entries up to 59. It is partway through level 9 and blinds are 400/800 with an 800 running ante and this is the last level for registration.
While the tournament clock currently reads 50 players in the running, that number has just dropped by one with the elimination of Graeme Siow, who does not look like he'll be reentering, though there is still 15-minutes before the end of the level, so that might change.
We picked up the action on a flop of just as Siow (big blind) moved in for his last 12,000 in chips, eliciting a quick call from his opponent in the hand, Deng Dan Kai.
Graeme Siow:
Deng Dan Kai:
Siow's top pair was leading and he held a blocker to Kai's nut flush draw and while the was a safe turn card, the river saw Kai hit the nuts to send Siow to the rail.
One table over, China's Chunsan Fan was also in the process of thinning the field by one, battling from the button in a hand versus a similarly stacked player in the small blind.
It was Fan who was the instigator, opening the action with a raise to 4,200 with the player in the small blind moving all-in for 25,400 in total. Fan did not take long to stick the rest of his chips in, rolling over , which was ahead of his opponent's .
The runout was a good one for the overpair, with Fan stacking up to a little over 60,000 after the hand while his opponent headed for the rail.

Day 1C is coming to the end of level 8, and there are currently 10-minutes left on the clock with a total of 57 entries so far, with registration closing at the end of the next level (9) in around 40-minutes time. Blinds are currently 300/600 with a 600 big blind ante and will be rising to 400/800 with an 800 big blind ante.
Of these, 50 players remain in contention, with Chou Chien Fa looking to be the current frontrunner with a stack of 85,000 or so. Next closest rival look to be Singapore's Alex Lee, who has a stack of 75,000 with other notables in the running as follows:

Players have bagged and tagged for Day 1B of the Poker King Cup Taiwan Main Event, with the tournament clock claiming that 68 players made it through, though this number could well drop when the official chip counts come in a little later.
As is often the case, there was a last-minute burst of action during the last five hands that resulted in Hang Chi's rapid rise through the ranks, with the Taiwanese player bagging up a sizable 277,800, which looks to be good for the Day 1B chip lead - pending official confirmation of course.
Wei En Shih finished not far behind on a stack of 241,200 - the only other player to breach th3 200k-mark, with Jae Wook Shin (172,100), Alex Lindop (167,700) and Yu Fai Wu (163,800) all bagging big as well.
There will be a full end of day wrap to follow with the conclusion of Day 1C, though official Day 1B counts will be posted as soon as they come through from the floor. Stick around and we'll bring you more action from Day 1C.

The clock has been paused with 15-minutes and 72 players remaining, and the last five hands have been announced before play concludes for the day.
Day 1B's remaining Cheung - Wai King Cheung - is looking good for a Day 2 spot, taking down a multiway pot to add some chips to his already ample stack.
It was Cheung who was the initial aggressor, opening the action with a raise to 3,600 from under-the-gun and picking up two callers, with Mark Gruendemann (cutoff) and Alex Lindop (big blind) both making the call.
All three players checked the flop, with Cheung making a delayed continuation bet of 4,000 on the turn, which was enough to win him the hand after the other two protagonists folded.

Wee Lee Kuan has been hard at work padding out his sizable stack and has climbed up to 166,000. However, there is a new sheriff in town, with the UK's Alex Lindop following up his victory in the opening Event #1 TWD 11,000 No Limit Hold'em event with a deep run here on Day 1B.
Lindop has popped up on the radar with a very healthy stack of 170,000, which looks to be good for the chip lead presently, though it is close and anything could happen in the next 20-minutes to change this fact. Behind Lindop and Kuan, the next largest stack looks to be South Korea's Jae Wook Shin who has around 155,000 in chips.
James Chen's Day 1B is over and he has taken his seat over in the Day 1C turbo flight.
