Shak Doubles Through Christner

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

We missed the hand play out, but we do know that three players saw a {k-Clubs}{k-}{6-} flop and Shak was the only one to check-call a bet from Christian Christner.

The turn and river both brought clubs, and Christner ended up coming all in to put the pressure on Shak, who called off for over 100K. Christner showed the {a-Clubs}{8-Spades} for air, and Shak rolled over {k-}{10-} for trips and the win.

Christner Folds River to Bonomo

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Catching the action on the turn with roughly 34,000 in the middle on a board reading {9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}, Christian Christner checked from the small blind to Justin Bonomo in the cutoff.

Bonomo bet 17,000 and Christner called as the river landed the {J-Hearts}, and he checked again.

Bonomo announced a bet of 42,000 and Christner eventually found a fold.

Jason Koon Bites the Dust

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Jake Schindler raised to 5,000 from early position and Jason Koon, who was next to act, moved all in for his last 33,000. Action folded back to Schindler and he made the call.

Koon: {6-}{6-}
Schindler: {9-}{9-}

The pocket nines held on a dry run out, and that was all she wrote for Jason Koon in the inaugural Poker Masters.

Rivered Pair for Bonomo

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

On a board of {6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}, Christian Christner called a 32,000 bet from Justin Bonomo before the river landed the {9-Hearts}.

Both players checked, and Bonomo tabled his {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a rivered pair.

Christner mucked, and in the process, dropped down to 215,000 as Bonomo climbed to 440,000 in chips.

Feature Table:

Scott Seiver raised to 5,000 on the button with {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Steffen Sontheimer defended his big blind with {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. The flop came {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Sontheimer check-called a bet of 3,000 from Seiver.

The turn was the {6-Clubs} and Sontheimer checked his full house. Seiver fired another 7,000 only to be raised to 35,000 by Sontheimer. Seiver still called and the {q-Hearts} landed on the river.

Sontheimer made a small value bet of 32,000 and Seiver looked him up. Sontheimer turned his cards over and was shipped the pot.

Davies with the River Check-Raise

Level 6 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Sergio Aido raised to 6,000 from the hijack and Seth Davies called from the big blind. When the flop came down {4-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, Davies check-called a bet of 6,000 and then both players checked the {6-Clubs} turn.

On the {2-Spades} river, Davies checked for a third time and Aido bet 11,500. Davies then sprung to life with a check-raise to 55,000 and Aido burned a time extension before folding.
