Petrangelo Savages Haxton

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,500 ante

Nick Petrangelo bet 8,500, which looked to be over the size of the pot, from the big blind on {3-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, with Isaac Haxton putting in a call from the button. On the {7-Clubs}, Petrangelo fired 28,000 and Haxton mucked fairly quickly.

"Got 'em with the savagery," Petrangelo said, looking down at a card.

"Show the queen of hearts," Haxton said.

Petrangelo flicked in the {q-Hearts}.

"Had to be the queen or jack with a backdoor flush draw," Haxton said of his eerie read. "He said it was savagery."

Justin Bonomo raised to 3,000 from under the gun, and Brian Rast defended his big blind.

The flop landed {4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Rast checked to Bonomo who continued for 2,000. Rast check-raised to 10,000, and Bonomo called as the turn landed the {9-Clubs}.

Rast bet 21,000, and Bonomo folded.

Bonomo Fills Up on Adams

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Brandon Adams raised the button to 3,000 and Justin Bonomo called in the big blind.

The flop landed {3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and both players checked to reveal the {10-Spades} on the turn.

Bonomo led out for 6,000, and Adams bumped it up to 18,000. Bonomo called, and then both players checked the {7-Diamonds} on the river.

Adams tabled his {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}, but it would be Bonomo's {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a full house that would earn him the pot.

Koon Earns One

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Jason Koon defended big blind and check-called 2,500 from Dominik Nitsche on the button on {2-Hearts}{8-Spades}{10-Spades}. Both players checked the {a-Hearts}, bringing the {j-Hearts}. Koon bet 3,000 and Nitsche raised to 15,000. Koon put in calling chips after thinking a bit and Nitsche turned over {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs} knowing it was no good, tossing Koon his chips.

Indeed, Koon tabled {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

"Finally won one," someone said.

"He earned it," Nitsche said with a smile.

"We're gonna make each other earn 'em today," Koon declared.

Haxton: "That Was My River"

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Isaac Haxton
Isaac Haxton

Jason Koon opened the cutoff to 2,500 and Nick Petrangelo called on the button, as did Isaac Haxton in the big blind.

The flop landed {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{A-Spades} and Haxton and Koon checked to Petrangelo who bet 2,500. Haxton called, and Koon folded, as both players then checked the {K-Clubs} on the turn.

The river fell the {6-Spades}, and Haxton led out for 21,000 and Petrangelo used his full extension of time before calling.

"That was my river," announced Haxton as he tabled his {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.

Petrangelo mucked, and Haxton collected the pot with his rivered full house.

Vogelsang Over Adams in Big Pot

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Christoph Vogelsang opened for 2,500 in the cutoff, Brandon Adams called, and small blind Brian Rast made it 13,500. Everyone stuck around for the {4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} flop. Action checked to Adams and he bet 22,000. Only the German continued, and both checked the {5-Hearts} for a {7-Diamonds} river.

Vogelsang slid in a two-fisted bet of about 85,000 and Adams quickly mucked.

Smith Wins Off Bonomo

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With 10,000 in the middle and the flop reading {3-Spades}{K-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, Justin Bonomo checked from the small blind and Dan Smith bet 3,000.

Bonomo called, and then checked the {9-Spades} on the turn as Smith bet 12,000. Bonomo called, and when the river landed the {A-Spades}, he checked once more.

Smith announced a bet of 35,000, and Bonomo called.

Smith tabled his {Q-Spades}{3-Clubs} for flopped trips that improved into the nut flush. Bonomo mucked, and Smith scooped in the pot.

Jason Koon

Dominik Nitsche was in the big blind and checked to Jason Koon on the button with {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades}{j-Hearts} on the felt. Koon bet 21,000 and Nitsche called. The river was the {3-Hearts} and Nitsche checked. Koon checked back with some force.

"Good check back," Nitsche said, tabling {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for top pair turned into the nuts.

"I guess I had some hope," Koon said, throwing {k-Spades}{7-Spades} into the middle for his own missed combo draw.
