Yazbeck Tricks

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a bit of an action table, Emran Abu raised to 4,500 and Mark Yazbeck called.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and Yazbeck led out for 4,400. Abu thought about it briefly, then flicked in the call.

On the turn of {a-Hearts}, Yazbeck this time bet 12,000 and Abu folded.

Yazbeck showed the table his 3-2 off-suit bluff, to the joy of the other players. "Don't tell them your tricks" said Kiavash Ababi to Yazbeck. "But I change them every hour" he replied.

Very next hand, Yazbeck moved all-in for 90,000. The rest of the table folded and he showed pocket-jacks. Surprisingly, no-one said "that's the only way to play jacks".

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Jian Long raised from early position to 5,000 and Mark Yazbeck called in the small blind.

Both played checked the flop of {2-Hearts}{8-Spades}{a-Hearts}. The turn was {9-Clubs} and Yazbeck bet out for 6,000, Long called. The river was {5-Hearts} and again, both players checked.

Yazbeck showed 8-6, while Long had top pair holding A-J and took down the pot.

Jaber Straight

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

With the board showing {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{q-Diamonds}, Noel Jaber bet 15,000 into a pot of around 25,000. His opponent tanked for a while, teasingly almost flashing his cards, and then called.
Jaber's {q-Hearts}{6-} had hit the straight against his opponent's pocket sevens and Jaber dragged the pot.
