The first winner of the 2026 Poker Masters series has been crowned as Myles Mullaly took down Event #1: $10,500 NLH for $218,400.

It was an event of firsts as the opening event brought Mullaly, a young poker pro from New York, his first PokerGO title after several close calls earlier this year at the US Poker Open.

"A lot of things just went my way today, and it feels good," Mullaly told PokerNews. "This is a cool place to win it. A lot of tough players ... I'm just happy I got it done today."

Mullaly defeated heads-up opponent Justin Zaki, while the final table was rounded out by fellow American pros Sam Laskowitz (3rd - $101,400), Michael Rossitto (4th - $74,100), Daniyal Gheba (5th - $54,600) and Justin Vaysman (6th - $39,000).

A Thousand Myles

The opening event drew 78 runners, including a few old school poker legends like Steve Zolotow and Erik Seidel, for a prize pool of $780,000.

Just six players returned for Day 2 after an eventful Day 1 that saw 2026 GPI Money Leader Adrian Mateos getting his aces cracked on the money bubble.

Online bracelet winner Justin Vaysman was the first to fall on Day 2, and he was followed several orbits later by Daniyal Gheba, who was down to crumbs before calling off with ten-four and failing to improve against Laskowitz' ace-nine to go out in fifth place.

Start of day chip leader Rossitto was next out after getting coolered with two pair against the flush of Laskowitz, who finished Rossitto off the next hand as Rossitto jammed jack-ten into the ace-queen of Laskowitz.

Laskowitz would then be the next out after doubling Zaki into second in chips.

Mullaly held the lead for much of the heads-up match, which went on for more than an hour. Zaki briefly took the lead before a final confrontation that saw both players chasing a flush, with Zaki having a pair to go with it, before Mullaly rivered a better pair to win his first PGT title.

As he posed next to his first PokerGO trophy, Mullaly had a group of friends cheering him on that included Landon Tice and Jeremy Becker.

"It's awesome to have people rooting for you," Mullaly said. "I would say here (in the PokerGO Studio) is like the best environment. Everyone's super friendly, everyone's always super talkative. It's very easy to make friends here, and it's nice having that support when you're in a big spot."
