Brewer Gets Value; Schulman Busts
Level 9
: Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Nick Schulman raised second to act and Chris Brewer defended the big blind.
Brewer check-called for 14,000 on the A♣J♣9♠ flop before the Q♦ turn checked through to the Q♦ river. Schulman used a time extension on the turn.
Brewer used a time extension, and then bet 45,000. Schulman had 79,000, and thought for nearly two minutes, agonizing over his options. He put in calling chips, and then sent his cards into the muck after Brewer tabled A♥8♣ for a pair of aces.
A hand later, Schulman was eliminated.
