Gierse Sees Off Rheem in Two Hands
Level 13
: Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Marius Gierse limped in from the small blind and called when Chino Rheem made it 45,000 from the big blind.
Gierse check-called bets of 40,000 and 80,000 on the flop and turn for the board to read A♦7♠3♥3♠Q♣.
It checked through to showdown.
"Show me a seven," said Rheem.
Gierse replied by first tabling the 7♥, followed by the A♥ for aces and sevens. Rheem mucked.
On the next deal, Gierse opened to 35,000 from the button and called when Rheem shoved for 220,000.
Chino Rheem: A♣5♥
Marius Gierse: K♣J♣
Gierse made kings-up on the Q♣7♥3♥K♠J♠ runout and Rheem was eliminated.
Sean Winter then joined the outer table to balance things out on the final table bubble.
