Nicholas Palma opened to 3,500 from under the gun. Chino Rheem and Joe McKeehen called from early position and the hijack. Shannon Shorr made it 15,000 on the button and only McKeehen called.
McKeehen check-folded to a bet of 20,000 on the 10♦5♠3♦ flop.
Daniel Negreanu raised to 2,500 from early position and Brandon Adams called from the hijack. Daniyal Gheba made it 15,000 from the cutoff and was called in both spots.
The 6♣4♥3♥ flop checked through to the Q♥ turn. Negreanu led out for 25,000 before Adams jammed for around 90,000. Gheba folded and Negreanu quickly followed suit.
Justin Zaki opened to 2,500 from the hijack, and the action folded to Dan Smith in the small blind. As Smith though over his option, Vitalijs Zavorotnijs accidentally folded out of turn in the big blind. Smith then made it 11,000 and Zaki called.
Smith continued for 8,000 on the A♥8♦4♦ flop and took down the pot.
The stakes are getting higher at the 2026 Poker Masters, with Event #7: $15,700 No-Limit Hold'em getting underway today at noon local time inside the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas.
Five of the six $10K events are now in the books, with the final one set to crown its champion later today. Sean Winter leads the Event #6 final table, where Victoria Livschitz and Tony Gregg are among those still in contention.
With the $10,500 portion of the schedule coming to a close, the buy-in now increases to $15,700 for the first of two events at that price point. After Event #8, the stakes rise again for Event #9: $26,000 NLH, before the series concludes with Event #10: $51,000 NLH.
As with the previous events, players will begin with 150,000 chips, with blinds starting at 500/1,000 and a 1,000 big blind ante. Each player is permitted two reentries, with late registration remaining open until the start of Level 9.
Levels will last 30 minutes for the first eight levels before increasing to 40 minutes for the remainder of the tournament. Players will receive a break every four levels through Level 8, followed by a break every three levels thereafter.
During one of last week's PokerGO livestreams, it was mentioned that Daniel Negreanu was expected to join the action for the higher buy-in events. It remains to be seen whether the Poker Hall of Famer makes an appearance today.
The field will play down to the final table today, with the remaining players returning tomorrow to battle for the title.
