Tice Scores Early Knockout With Set Over Set
Level 1
: Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
It's barely even noon and Landon Tice is already playing for stacks.
In a heads-up pot against between Tice and old school player Doug Lee on a board of 3♥8♥A♠J♦7♥, Lee bet 15,000 and Tice raised all in for his starting stack. Lee went in the tank and eventually called.
Tice showed A♦A♥ for top set as Lee rolled over a worse flopped set with 3♣3♦.
"You couldn't find a big fold?" table mate Jeremy Becker asked before being chided by David Coleman.
"Nice timing," said Coleman. "Some people have no class."
