Wilson Bursts Bubble as Wilson Survives
Sean Winter was left with one chip after a big pot against Nicholas Seward and was forced all in from the small blind.
His nemesis Seward raised and Brock Wilson called in the big blind. Wilson checked on the 10♥2♦6♠ flop and Seward continued for 30,000. Wilson called. Both players then checked on the 7♣ turn.
Wilson checked once more on the 2♥ river and Seward bet 170,000. At the next table, Chris Hunichen open-jammed in the small blind as Brandon Wilson considered calling off for his tournament life in the big blind.
"This is the stupidest spot," he groaned before calling.
Back to the other table, Winter loudly clapped and rubbed his hands together like Mr. Miyagi, but he couldn't work up any magic. Wilson called and tabled 8♣6♣ for a pair of sixes to beat out the Q♥9♥ of Seward and the K♠5♣ of Winter, who was eliminated on the money bubble.
At the next table, Hunichen and Wilson's cards were flipped.
Brandon Wilson: 4♥4♣
Chris Hunichen: Q♠6♠
Wilson, who was already in the money, survived the flip as the board ran out 7♠8♥A♦8♠J♦ to keep his fours ahead.
