A win to cap off the series gave Shannon Shorr the 2025 U.S. Poker Open crown last spring.

The Alabama native took down Event #8: $25,200 No-Limit Hold'em for $529,250, beating a field of 73 entrants. In doing so, he captured his second tournament of the series, just enough to squeak by Matthew Wantman for the overall series title.
