Luke O'Kelly has been eliminated from today's event. He raised with , was reraised by Daniel Perfeito who had apparently been three-betting pretty light. This time he had the goods though in pocket queens, and the case queen on the flop removed any glimmer of excitement for O'Kelly.
O'Kelly is not alone in busting, however, as he has since dropped his laptop on the floor and can no longer get it to work. "It hasn't been a good day," he reported dejectedly.
Not intentionally making a rude gesture
Marc Veldhoven is the latest player to bust out, running his into Nik Lackovic's with zero assistance from the board.
Fedor Los made his chips back a few hands later, though -- with 20,000 in the pot by the river of the board, Christoph Berti bet 9,300 -- but Los raised all in for around 40,000, and after a long dwell, Berti gave it up.
Mark Vos bet out 10,000 on the river of the board with 20,000 already in the pot, and Fedor Los gave it a good long think before calling. Vos turned over for flopped two pair, and Los mucked his hand.
A curious three-way hand just took place on Table 1. A short-stacked Wolfgang van Breukelen pushed all in for 1,200, Franciscus Dekkers called and John Duthie, in the big blind I believe, checked his option.
Both remaining players checked the flop, only for Dekkers to check-call, albeit it after a quick recheck of the cards, a bet of 1,000 from Duthie on the turn.
The on the river led to a quick bet of 2,000 from Dekkers, which Duthie called. "Sick," commented van Breukelen as Dekkers flipped for the straight, van Breukelen's leading on the flop, but out-gunned on the turn.
Duthie, meanwhile, confessed to pocket aces. "I didn't look preflop," he added.
Sébastien Vincent has been eliminated at the hands of neighbor Yong Hui Jiang. With Vincent pushing his short-stack in from the small blind, Jiang quickly made the call with in the big. He was ahead, as Vincent had two lowly, but live cards in .
The board was close, but no cigar, and Vincent was sent packing.
