Christian Fischbacher limped in under the gun. To his left, Simon Kullenberg pushed all in for his last 2,800. It folded around to Colin Fortey on the small blind, who called all in for just 2,600. On the big blind, Mark Vos then raised to 7,000 -- only for Fischbacher to reraise to 20,000.
Vos tanked up for a long time, sitting back in his chair and meditating upon the felt. Eventually he passed.
Kullenberg:
Fortey:
Fischbacher:
Vos: "F***! What a bitch! I was so close to pushing..."
Board:
Fortey pulled a full house out of thin air to quadruple up, and the dealer initially declared Kullenberg busted before realizing his mistake and giving him back his 200 change.
Fortey: "Make sure you put a big headline on that..."
Gerard Deckers is busto, all in on the flop with against Mark Vos' . Some hope for Deckers on the turn, but Vos' hand only improved with the river and Deckers is gone.
Anders Willemoes Larsen
Anders Willemoes Larsen raised to 2,200 from UTG, only for (almost) namesake Allan Laursen to push all in from the big blind. Larsen made the call with , but grimaced upon being met by . No change on the board and a 20-25,000 pot went to the man with just two names.
It wasn't all bad for Larsen, though, as he was moved to another table, thus evading the wrath of the big blind. A small consolation, but a consolation nonetheless.
I spotted the very tail end of a clash between Martin Führer and Erich Kollmann. It was a big pot worth around the 55,000 mark, but it looked like it might have been a battle of the blinds confrontation with Kollmann's in the big in need of assistance against Führer's .
I don't know when the chips went in, but Kollmann's hand didn't improve on the board and the pot went to his neighbor.
