Hlobil Betters Granberg

A mammoth blind-on-blind confrontation resulted in Jan Hlobil check-raising all in for 20,200 to a bet of 5,200 from Christoffer Granberg on the turn of the {7-Clubs}

board, with 6,000 in the pot already. "You have a nine?" said Granberg, quite logically, but he was destined never to know -- he eventually passed and the pot went to Hlobil.

Anyhow, he was in commanding shape on this occasion, his {A-Hearts}

looking to avoid one of three outs against Abbassi's {A-Spades}

. And avoid he did, the {7-Diamonds}

board serving up that "one time" and doubling him through to 16,500. Abbassi, meanwhile, drops to 4,200.
