Hlobil Betters Granberg

A mammoth blind-on-blind confrontation resulted in Jan Hlobil check-raising all in for 20,200 to a bet of 5,200 from Christoffer Granberg on the turn of the {7-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {9-Hearts} board, with 6,000 in the pot already. "You have a nine?" said Granberg, quite logically, but he was destined never to know -- he eventually passed and the pot went to Hlobil.

So Farhad, So Good

One of few Brits here in Austria, Farhad Kia, is currently on 30,000. He just eliminated a man with {A-?}{J-?} versus {J-?}{10-?}, adding that his opponent had limp-pushed for just double his raise, and that after making the call, the ace high held up.

Abbassi Out

Ramazanali Abbassi open-shoved for 4,750 and got called by Franciscus Dekkers on the button and by Alexander Volik in the small blind; the two gentlemen who were not all in checked down the board and it went to showdown.

Abbassi: {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}
Volik: {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}
Dekkers: mucked

Mr. Abbassi was out and Volik took the pot.

Golovin It

With 10,000 in the pot by the turn of the {K-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} board, Dmitriy Golovin check-called a 5,000 bet from Yvoe Dellinger; Golovin proceeded to shove the {9-Hearts} river and Dellinger passed. Just as well for him -- Golovin showed him the {A-Hearts} for the nut flush.

Rock Me, Amadeus

Wolfgang van Breukelen has just doubled up, rocking Ramazanali Abbassi in the process. "One time," commanded van Breukelen as Abbassi called his all-in, although I sense he may repeat that request later on in the event.

Anyhow, he was in commanding shape on this occasion, his {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} looking to avoid one of three outs against Abbassi's {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}. And avoid he did, the {7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} board serving up that "one time" and doubling him through to 16,500. Abbassi, meanwhile, drops to 4,200.
