Vos New Chip Leader

Mr Vos, triumphant in the Rebuy event
Mr Vos, triumphant in the Rebuy event
Mark Vos, winner of the €50 Rebuy event, final tabler of the €100 Bounty event, and wooden spoon winner of the High Rollers PLO, is our current chip leader on around 70,000. According our roving reporter Gloria Balding, he claims to have amassed this hefty pot by, er, "Winning some big confrontations."

Boeree Fires the Bullets

On the {5-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop, Liv Boeree bet 2,000 and Markus Golser called. After both players had checked the {9-Spades} turn, Boeree check-called 3,000 on the {J-Spades} river, and although making the call with a slight lack of confidence, was relieved to see her {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts} was indeed ahead. A frustrated Golser mucked his cards.

Boeree is now on 32,000.

Brrr, It's Chilly in Here

Mark Schouten, victor of yesterday's €300 PLO event, raised it up from the button and then called the 11,000 push from Stephan Kernig in the big blind. Bit of a cooler:

Schouten: {A-Spades} {K-Spades}
Kernig: {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}

The flop looked like the hand might be a bigger cooler than anyone thought:

Flop: {5-Spades} {9-Spades} {J-Diamonds}

But a harmless {8-Hearts} on the turn and {7-Hearts} on the river doubled Kernig up to 22,000.

Istvan to Be Alone

A raising war between Istvan Pap in early position and Otto Göschl on the button resulted in Pap all in and called before the flop.

Pap: {6-Spades} {6-Hearts}
Göschl: {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}

Board: a harmless {K-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {3-Spades} {Q-Spades} {2-Diamonds} to send Pap to the rail.
