Marcel Luske Eliminated

Throwing in the, er, cards
Throwing in the, er, cards
Rumour has it that Marcel Luske limped UTG and Runnar Lindepuu made up the small blind, but nevertheless, when I joined the action, the two players were going raise crazy on a {J-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop with Luske making the final call for a 230,000 pot.

Luske = {J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Lindepuu = {J-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

Turn = {A-Diamonds}
River = {4-Hearts}

"Good luck, everyone" wished a disappointed, but still smiling Luske upon departure.

A Los of Chips for Göschl

Fedor Los
Fedor Los
Fedor Los raised from the button and Otto Göschl smooth-called from the small blind.

Both players checked the {A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{J-Spades} flop.

On the {6-Hearts} turn, Göschl checked, Los bet 8,000, Göschl raised to 25,000 and Los called.

A {2-Diamonds} river triggered a shove from Göschl; Los called.

Los = {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Göschl = {A-Spades}{2-Spades}

Not a bad flop for Los, and just in case, the river sealed the deal. He now has 175,000, whilst Göschl drops to 40,000.

Runnar-ing Good

As Los was basking in the glory of a cold deck, Runnar Lindepuu was enjoying a similar sense of satisfaction on the neighboring table.

I raced over just in time to see the river, but it looked unfortunate for Johan Brolenius who had called Runnar Lindepuu's push on the river of a {9-Hearts}{2-Spades}{K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} board.

Brolenius showed {J-?}{J-?}, but it simply wasn't enough against the in-form Lindepuu's {K-Spades}{J-Clubs} for rivered quads.

"You're running good, huh?" observed an envious Brolenius as he departed. Lindepuu remained silent as he stacked up a now gargantuan and potential chip-leading 290,000 stack.

Phew?...

With the board reading {J-Spades}{A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, Jörg Peisert led for 23,300 and Simon Borg pushed all in.

"How much?" asked Peisert. "About 80,000," replied Borg nonchalantly.

"Do you want me to call you?" continued Peisert. "Up to you," came the brief reply.

"I fold," decided Peisert after a minute or two of deliberation.

"Phew," said Borg as he collected the chips, although judging by the expression on Peisert's face, he remained unconvinced.

Dekkers in Trouble

Franciscus Dekkers made it 5,000 from the small blind, only for Jan Hlobil to reraise to 18,000 from the big blind. Dekkers pushed, Hlobil called, and they turned their cards over.

Dekkers: {A-Diamonds} {9-Clubs}
Hlobil: {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}

Board: {8-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {3-Clubs}

Hlobil allowed himself a little grin as he doubled up to 160,000, and Dekkers politely tapped the table as he dropped down to just 20,000.

Dekkers pushed all in a couple hands later to a 5,000 raise from Charly Le Guillou, but Le Guillou had only 45,000 behind himself, and eventually passed.
