Cabret Sucks Out To Double

Booth is concerned with the state of his chip stack
Booth is concerned with the state of his chip stack
The news has just got worse for Carl Booth. He has slipped under 1,000,000 chips for the first time on this final table, despite getting it in good against Joe Cabret.

Preflop, Con Tsapkounis opened the button to 250,000 and was met with an all in from Joe Cabret. Cabret probably didn't expect the re-shove from Carl Booth right behind him, but that is exactly how it happened.

Con Tsapkounis decided it was in his best interest to fold and let the other two players showdown.

Carl Booth: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Joe Cabret: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

Cabret wasn't behind long, he spiked a set on the {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Booth wasn't able to catch up on the {4-Spades} turn or {4-Clubs} river.

Cabret moves over 2,000,000 chips. Booth is down to 600,000.

Biggest Pot Of The Tournament So Far

Preflop, Con Tsapkounis raised to 250,000 on the button and Carl Booth three-bet it to 750,000 from the big blind. Tsapkounis made the call and they took a {7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop.

With 1,500,000 chips in the pot preflop it was going to be a war post-flop. Booth moved all in and Tsapkounis made an instant call for his stack.

Tsapkounis: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Booth: {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

The {j-Diamonds} turn and {7-Hearts} river were not the cards Booth was looking for, so he ships the majority of his stack to Tsapkounis.

Booth has 1,200,000 left, Tsapkounis is now the chip leader again with 5,200,000.

Con Tsapkounis - 2,550,000
Joe Cabret - 1,350,000

Booth Bluffs His Lead Back

Booth bluffed Khouiss off a pot
Booth bluffed Khouiss off a pot
Sam Khouiss limped in preflop from the button and both blinds took a {3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{j-Spades} flop.

All three players checked it, and moved to the {3-Clubs} turn. On the turn the blinds checked to Khouiss who bet 200,000. Carl Booth then check-raised it to 400,000, and Con Tsapkounis got out of the way.

Action was back on Khouiss who decided to pitch his hand. As Booth dragged the pot, he decided to rub some extra salt into the wound by showing his {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs} bluff.

Booth is back to 2,900,000.

Con Tsapkounis Takes The Lead

Con Tsapkounis has moved into the chip lead after taking another pot.

Preflop, Tsapkounis raised to 200,000 and both Joe Cabret and Sam Khouiss called out of the blinds.

The flop came {5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and both the blinds checked to Tsapkounis. Tsapkounis asked the dealer to count off both of their stacks, before betting 350,000.

Both players folded.

Con Tsapkounis moves up to 2,700,000.
