Alexander Mikhalev and Tony Veille Win Pots

Alexander Mikhalev ended a roller coaster Day 1a on the rail after being a big stack early on and the Russian is back at it again today, sharing a table with Tony Veille and Thomas Zurek also arrived there as well.

Veille was involved in a three-bet hand in a battle small blind versus button and bet the flop for 1,000. The player on the button called and Veille then bet 1,000 on the turn again. His opponent called and did so again for the same amount on the turn. Veille showed as winning hand.

One hand later, Mikhalev raised to 600 from early position and picked up four callers. After the flop, the action checked to him and Mikhalev took down the pot with a continuation bet worth 1,500.
