On the heads-up flop of , Constantine Gorinson moves all in for around 28,000, which equaled the size of the pot. Thomas Zurek looked him up with the superior stack, but held the slightly inferior kicker with . Gorinson was ahead with and paired his king on the turn.
The fell on the river and Zurek asked "no suckout?" with a smile on the face, having witnessed two dramatic hands on the same table not long ago.
Soon after, Zurek paired his queen on a flop, but Lukáš Svoboda had made trips sixes with to take his remaining short stack.
On the three-way flop of , Karl-Heinz Oppermann checked in the small blind, as did Ashot Oganesian in the big blind. Benas Kuzmickas on the button bet 7,500 and Oppermann called. Oganesian then check-raised to 22,000 and just Kuzmickas called.
After the turn, Oganesian immediately moved all in and Kuzmickas then called after some consideration with for aces and fives. Oganesian only had for a pair of jacks and the river was a blank. Kuzmickasdoubled up for 85,100 and Oganesian was left with very few chips, busted shortly after.
A short stack that had just lost most of his chips after a battle of the blinds is in the small blind. Karl-Heinz Oppermann raised, Marc Andre Fürstenau called and the small blind shoved for his last 12,400. Both Oppermann and Fürstenau called and the flop fell .
Oppermann check-folded to a bet of 15,000 and Fürstenau showed , while the player at risk flipped over . Neither the turn nor river changed the outcome of the hand and the pot was shipped to Fürstenau.
Plenty of chips were in the pot with a flop reading and Alexander Rettenbacher faced a bet worth 33,000 by Andriy Kushchenko. Rettenbacher reraised big and Kushchenko gave it a lot of thought before moving all in with for a straight draw.
Rettenbacher called and turned over pocket tens for middle set. The turn and river improved Rettenbacher to a full house and he boosted his stack significantly, becoming a contender for the overnight lead.
Marvin Wörner raised and Constantine Gorinson then three-bet to 16,000 from one seat over. Evgenii Leonidov moved all in for 42,800 and Wörner reraised all in. Gorinson took only a few seconds of consideration and called all in for close to 100,000 and the cards were tabled.

And the blank river completed the board, eliminating Leonidov. Gorinson doubled for 96,800 and becomes one of the biggest stacks, while Wörner busted shortly after.
In one of the last hands of the day, Ronny Voth raised and picked up two callers including Karl-Heinz Oppermann. The flop came and action was checked to Voth, who bet 12,400 into around 34,000. The third player in the hand folded, but Oppermann moved all in for 80,000 after some consideration and Voth snap-called.
