With the time here at King's Casino in Rozvadov just ticking past 5p.m., the fourth and final flight of the PokerNews Cup has gotten underway. Day 1D already has 31 players registered, but expect that to grow with 11 levels of late registration available to anyone looking to grab a place in Day 2.
However, with 1C not even halfway done, we will be continuing the live updates here until its conclusion. We will then move over to Flight 1D and follow that to its conclusion as well.
Good luck to all players remaining in both flights!
After a raise from under the gun and the call by KEKO, Dmytro Nesin three-bet to 1,400 from the big blind and the initial raiser called. KEKO reraised to 9,900 and Nesin was the only caller.
On the flop, Nesin checked and KEKO moved all in for what appeared to be 26,700. Nesin shrugged and called after some consideration.
KEKO:
Dmytro Nesin:
The turn and river completed the board and Nesin had his opponent covered to score a big double.
Today looks set to be the busiest day of the 2017 PokerNews Cup Rozvadov so far, as not one but two flights get underway. Firstly, cards are in the air for Day 1C at 1p.m. local time, before later players get their final chance to book their place in Day 2 at 5p.m. with the start of Day 1D. More than 70 entries have emerged in the €45 Satellite for Day 1c already.
With players allowed two re-entries per flight, and for only €250 with a €200,000 guarantee, there looks set to be a flurry of action at the tables across both flights.
Players receive 30,000 in chips and will play 15 30-minute levels. There target primarily is to make Day 2, but if they can come close to the 696,000 chips that Day 1A chipleader Vytautas Milbutas bagged up, then they will be well on their way to securing a deep run.
