On the river of a board , SantaClaus bet 2,100 and Eimantas Navickas raised it up to 10,000. SantaClaus, who recently finished 16th in the partypoker German Poker Championships, called and Navickas turned over .
SantaClaus had a dry smile on the face and mucked for the inferior set.
Right after, Navickas bet the turn for 6,000 and was called by Ali-BabaSVK. After the river, Navickas bet 6,000 again and that forced a fold.
In an early pot between Mike Hansen and Mr Scorpio, the board read and Mr Scorpio had checked to Hansen who bet 5,100 into a pot of just 1,650. Mr Scorpio then check-raised to 17,500 and after some though Hansen called.
Mr Scorpio turned over for a rivered straight and Hansen mucked, taking a knock very early on to his stack.
Today looks set to be the busiest day of the 2017 PokerNews Cup Rozvadov so far, as not one but two flights get underway. Firstly, cards are in the air for Day 1C at 1p.m. local time, before later players get their final chance to book their place in Day 2 at 5p.m. with the start of Day 1D. More than 70 entries have emerged in the €45 Satellite for Day 1c already.
With players allowed two re-entries per flight, and for only €250 with a €200,000 guarantee, there looks set to be a flurry of action at the tables across both flights.
Players receive 30,000 in chips and will play 15 30-minute levels. There target primarily is to make Day 2, but if they can come close to the 696,000 chips that Day 1A chipleader Vytautas Milbutas bagged up, then they will be well on their way to securing a deep run.
