Benoit Busts Kemularia

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

One of the Kemularia brothers, Uta, was among the players to join the rail soon after the money bubble burst.

He was all in with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and Benjamin Benoit called with the {7-Spades}{5-Hearts}. The board came {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{J-Spades}{Q-Spades} and Benoit got there on the river with a flush. Also out are Oluf Velbaek, Roman Cieslik and Sebastien Le Port.

The First Casualties in the Money

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Among those to bust soon after the money bubble had burst was Michael Lender, Roman Tvrzník and Vorderer. The latter got his short stack in with pocket threes and Nadir Aslan called with the {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. The board came {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Vorderer was done for the day.

Action Man Bubbles 2017 PokerNews Cup

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Action Man
Action Man

It folded to Action Man on the button who moved all in for 34,000. The even shorter-stacked Paulina Rimkute folded the small blind and Barrelnbink called in the big blind.

There was a pause as the players waited for action at all other tables to finish before the cards were turned over:

Action Man: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Barrelnbink: {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{2-Clubs} meaning Barrelnbink moved into the lead.

"Seat open," muttered Martin Kabrhel on the rail as the {a-Hearts} hit the turn. The river was the {4-Diamonds} and Action Man bubbled the Main Event, with all other players guaranteed a min-cash of €589.

Bakker Misses The Money

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

After losing the big flip early on, Yordy Bakker was just spotted next to Johan Groot to explain he was no longer in the tournament. There were two clubs on the flop ... let's just leave it at that.

Tournament staff has been instructed to announce when they have an all in, as the money is just two spots away.

Susta Raise-Folds Kings on the Bubble

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Paul van Alst
Paul van Alst

Petr Susta started the hand with a stack of around 15 big blinds, and opened to 15,000 from middle position. It folded to Paul van Alst in the big blind who three-bet all in for over 200,000.

Van Alst spoke with his opponent at length while Susta deliberated.

"At worst I have 40%," he said, "I want a fold but if you call then I suppose that's ok too."

After a while, Van Alst called the clock. No sooner had he done so, Susta open-mucked {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} face-up on the table.

The whole table gasped and Philipp Zukernik damn-near fell out of his chair in shock.

"I had three outs," said Van Alst, "But I think you knew that."

Play remains two eliminations from the money.

Down to 90 Players

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

While Marek Blasko has built his stack early on, Stefan Schmidt busted from the very same table.

Roman Tvrzník was all in for just a few big blinds and Kristijan Sopta called with the {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Tvrznik had {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and survived thanks to a board of {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts}.
