Galustov Saved by the River

Level 5 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

When we reached Table 3 we saw the dealer putting the chips in the middle of the table, after the preflop action was over. The pot counted 36,000 which means that there have been some big bets.

{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{k-Clubs} fell on the flop with Bogdanov and Galustov, and Bogdanov bet 11,000 with his opponent calling the bet.

The {10-Diamonds} hit the turn and Bogdanov checked, Galustov bet 20,000 and Bogdanov called.

The {a-Spades} completed the board on the river and Bogdanov checked, with Galustov thinking about it for close to three minutes before checking back.

{a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for Galustov who scooped the pot and Bogdanov showed {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}, which means that he got rivered.

Early Aggression

Level 4 : 400/800, 800 ante

We had a very big pot in Table 1 that ended on the flop. Georgios Efthimiadis raised under-the-gun, Dritan Koromani called from the button and Dimitrios Michailidis three-bet from the small blind.

The big blind folded and Efthimiadis four-bet to 30,500 with only Michailidis calling.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Efthimiadis announced all in after Michailidis' check. His shove was around 1.2x pot and Michailidis asked him if he had kings.

Efthimiadis didn't answer and he showed the {6-Clubs} after his opponent's fold, so he definitely didn't have kings...

Two Eliminations

Level 3 : 300/600, 600 ante

Simeon Marvakis and Polykarpos Stryvakis just lost all their chips in the same time but in different tables.

Marvakis had a monster straight flush draw on the turn versus his opponent trips and the chips went all in the middle with the river not helping him.

Stryvakis played a very big pot with four players paying 3,300 chips each before the flop. The flop came {4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Marcel Galustov bet 11,000 from the cut-off when checked to him. Pistofidis called from the button and Stryvakis announced all in from the small blind for 28,000.

Both players called and the {k-Diamonds} fell on the turn, with Galustov announcing all in for around 14,000 and Pistofidis folded after some deliberation.

Stryvakis was ahead with {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and a queen-high flush but Galustov had outs with {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for a higher flush draw.

The river did him this favor with the {j-Diamonds} giving him a higher flush and Stryvakis re-entered the event.

They will take a short break to eat something and then they will jump in the action of the High Roller.
