Day 1b Started
The second flight of the 2019 PokerNews Cup High Roller is getting close to its start, with around half an hour remaining before the cards are up in the air. Finix Casino is waiting for the players, while a super satellite is taking place now, giving two tickets for the High Roller.
Besides Day 1b and the current satellite, there is another satellite scheduled for today at 7 p.m. and this one is giving five tickets guaranteed for the Main Event.
Yesterday, there were 28 entries in the High Roller with one re-entry among them and 12 players advanced to Day 2. Those that busted are the candidates for today's field and anyone else who will travel here to take part in the action.
Ivan Ivanov from Bulgaria was the player who managed to collect most of the chips with 631,500 after Day 1a, and all the players who will participate today will have to surpass this stack if they want to have better chances for a big prize.

Day 1b started and as always you can't expect much action during the first levels of play.
This is not true if you combine live poker with some online poker tournaments. Especially, if there is a huge festival running like the 2019 Spring Championship of Online Poker at PokerStars.
A satellite for the High Roller started today at 2 p.m. and it just ended. Three players managed to win a seat and they are George Efthimiadis, Konstantinos Nanos and Simeon Marvakis.
They will take a short break to eat something and then they will jump in the action of the High Roller.

Simeon Marvakis and Polykarpos Stryvakis just lost all their chips in the same time but in different tables.
Marvakis had a monster straight flush draw on the turn versus his opponent trips and the chips went all in the middle with the river not helping him.
Stryvakis played a very big pot with four players paying 3,300 chips each before the flop. The flop came and Marcel Galustov bet 11,000 from the cut-off when checked to him. Pistofidis called from the button and Stryvakis announced all in from the small blind for 28,000.
Both players called and the fell on the turn, with Galustov announcing all in for around 14,000 and Pistofidis folded after some deliberation.
Stryvakis was ahead with and a queen-high flush but Galustov had outs with for a higher flush draw.
The river did him this favor with the giving him a higher flush and Stryvakis re-entered the event.
