Two of the Best

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Viktor Blom
Viktor Blom

Viktor Blom, one of the most legendary online poker players in history for his nosebleed exploits in no-limit and PLO games, has taken a seat. Blom took a shot in the Main Event but couldn't get anything going yesterday. However, he's this year's second-biggest online cash winner, so it's doubtful he's hurting at all after that loss.

Another player who just grabbed a seat is Jens Lakemeier. Playing as "Fresh_oO_D" on PokerStars, Lakemeier is a mixed game legend and showed off his skills in the $2,500 Big Bet event at the WSOP, winning his first bracelet and $112,232.

Kozlov and Pisarenko Both Have Big Ones

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Martin Kozlov was in the big blind and facing off with Maksim Pisarenko on a board of {9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, with both putting in what looked to be 3,000, though we didn't see who was the aggressor. The river was the {5-Hearts} and Kozlov fired in 10,000. Pisarenko seemed less than pleased but eventually splashed in a call.

Kozlov showed {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for the nut flush. Pisarenko showed he'd had two pair and blockers, not to mention a diamond flush draw to the nuts: {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

Fuchs Doubles Through Petersen

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante
Robert Fuchs
Robert Fuchs

Robert Fuchs opened for 1,000 under the gun and got three-bet to 3,000 from Alexander Petersen a couple of seats over.

"Just put it in, you know you're going to," Petersen said with a smile as Fuchs thought.

However, Fuchs announced a pot-sized reraise. Petersen snap-called for 9,400 and they saw an {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{q-Diamonds} flop. Petersen called a continuation-bet of 6,000. The turn was a {5-Spades} and Fuchs potted all in for 29,700, a tad less than pot.

"There's always a rebuy," Petersen as he called.

Petersen: {6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Fuchs: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

Petersen needed a deuce or a seven, but he hit a worthless boat when the {4-Clubs} fell.

At another table, Andzej Wisniewski went bust.

First Slowroll Staredown

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

On a board of {3-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, Jan Suchanek bet 3,000 from middle position and received a check-call from David Frieling, who was under the gun. The river was a {3-Diamonds}, bringing flush and full house possibilities. Suchanek bet 7,000 when checked to and Frieling snap-called, waiting for Suchanek to show.

The Czech player rolled over {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a flush and kept his other two hidden.

"Slowroll?" Frieling said with a smile.

Suchanek showed {k-Spades}{q-Spades}, meaning he was indeed playing the flush. Frieling had it beat with {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.

Players went on break for 15 minutes.
