Mattsson Wins From Zyrin

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

With the pot already up to over 5,000, Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson was facing a T-5,000 chip bet from Anatolii Zyrin on a {7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{K-Spades} board. After some contemplating, he called. Both players quickly checked the {J-Clubs} on the river.

Mattsson rolled over {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and Zyrin angrily mucked his hand.

Dream Start for Peters

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Tobias Peters is nursing a stack of 60,000 with a big grin on his face. According to Peters, he held {J-}{J-} in the second hand of the day he played. After raising from under the gun and a call from the small blind, a player in the big blind three-bet and Peters called.

The flop came down {J-}{4-}{2-} with two hearts and the big blind bet 2,000. Peters raised to 5,300, the big blind shoved with {A-}{A-} and Peters called with top set. No ace on turn nor river meant an early exit for Peters' opponent.

Engel Over Gathy

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Michael Gathy opened to 350 and got calls from Ari Engel on the button and Brian Altman in the small blind. The flop came {a-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Gathy bet 600, getting one customer in Engel. Gathy fired again on the {4-Clubs} turn for 1,500, and Engel stuck around once more. The {3-Clubs} made the board super coordinated, and Gathy checked. Engel bet 3,050, and that was enough to earn him the pot.

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Eugene Katchalov had what appeared to be a three-bet in front of him in the cutoff, with a T1,000 chip on the felt. Mikhail Zavoloka had a four-bet to 2,800 in the small blind, and Katchalov called. He called 2,000 more on the {2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop. When Zavoloka bet 5,000 on the {9-Spades} turn though, Katchalov released in short order.
