Zaffran and Correia Double

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Alexandr Merzhvinskii pushed into a raise by Francisco Pinho Correia and the latter called for 67,200 with the {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. Merzhvinskii only had {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} and the kicker played on a board of {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Hearts} to let the Portuguese double.

Jean Paul Zaffran shoved for just 33,200 in the small blind with {10-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Alex Komaromi quickly called with the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} in the big blind. The board came {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and Zaffran rivered trips to stay in.

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Maksim Prokhorov, who's seated to Jose Latorre's right, has taken the chip lead from his neighbor. In one of the hands that got him there, Prokhorov dragged a 150k pot with {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} on a {2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} board, when Latorre was caught bluffing with {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

Van Putten the Big Stack

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Jasper Meijer van Putten, the Dutchman who won the last-ever EPT back in Prague 2016 for €699,300, has an impressive stack in front of him all of the sudden. He told us he first doubled from 100,000 to 200,000 getting it in with aces versus ace-king and winning.

He added another 100,000 when a player in middle position opened for 6,000. Meijer van Putten defended his big blind with {10-}{6-} and check-called a bet of 8,000 on {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Meijer van Putten lead for 21,000 on the {10-Clubs} turn and bet another 47,000 on the {J-Clubs} river. He got called both times, but his opponent mucked after being shown trips.

Moshe Pushes Out Gross

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

On the turn of a heads-up board of {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, Asi Moshe bet 16,500 and Alexander Gross called. Moshe also bet the {6-Hearts} river for 45,500 and Gross stacked together a call. However, he took another minute and mucked the {Q-Hearts} face up.

"I really wanted the call," Moshe said while he was raking in the pot. The player from Israel, who already has a WSOP bracelet and several deep runs in Las Vegas, made the trip over to Europe and stands on an above-average stack.
