Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

When we arrived, the turn was already out in a pot between Liow Ming Kee (small blind) and Nick Petrangelo (middle position) with all the chips already in the middle.

{K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Petrangelo had by far the best hand with {K-Spades}{10-Hearts} as Kee showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}.

The river {A-Hearts} wasn't a card Kee was looking for and he exited the tournament area.

Wellenbach Busts Smiljkovic in Setup Hand

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Scott Wellenbach
Scott Wellenbach

Florian-Dimitrie Duta was the first casualty after coming back from the break and he was soon followed by Diogo Veiga. Daniel Smiljkovic followed them to the rail soon after and it was a huge setup hand that sent the German crashing out.

Scott Wellenbach raised first to act and Smiljkovic called in the big blind. The flop fell {K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Smiljkovic check-called a bet of 70,000 before doing so again on the {Q-Spades} turn for 125,000.

The {7-Spades} river completed the board and Smiljkovic checked once more. Wellenbach bet 200,000 and called the shove of the German for 500,000 with [{Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. Smiljkovic only had {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for the inferior set and was sent to the rail.

Romero and Proudfoot Eliminated

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Almost at the same time, James Romero and Jonathan Proudfoot were eliminated from neighboring tables.

Romero shoved for what appeared to be 350,000 in the cutoff and Andre Akkari called in the big blind.

James Romero: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Andre Akkari: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Romero was gone.

Jonathan Proudfoot three-bet shoved for a similar amount from the big blind and button raiser Alex Difelice quickly called.

Jonathan Proudfoot: {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Alex Difelice: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

Both had clashed in a massive pot at the end of the previous level and Difelice finished the job he previously started as the board came {K-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, sending Proudfoot to the rail.

Mcdonald and Hansen on the Rail

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The next two casualties are George Mcdonald and Johnny Hansen.

Mcdonald three-bet all in with {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts} for 424,000 from the cutoff and initial raiser Brian Kaufman Esposito in the hijack called with {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}. The board ran out {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and Mcdonald was drawing dead on the turn already.

Hansen got his short stack in with ace-queen and Jan-Eric Schwippert called with pocket eights in the blinds. An eight on the flop left Hansen drawing dead, and he even got a meaningless ace on the turn.

Feenstra's Stack is Soaring

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Feenstra was already up considerably for the day and just won another sizable hand.

Scott Wellenbach opened from early position for 50,000 and small blind Hugo Gomes Andrade called. Feenstra over called from the big blind.

The two blinds checked on {K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Wellenbach bet 75,000. Andrade and Feenstra both called. All three of them checked the {5-Clubs} on the turn and the {5-Spades} completed the board. Andrade checked and Feenstra bet 180,000. Wellenbach folded right away, Andrade did the same after 3 minutes or so in the tank.
