Yaghmai Loses Flip to Bansal

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Nariman Yaghmai
Nariman Yaghmai

Raghav Bansal raised to 15,000 from early position and Ben Lai called before the action reached Nariman Yaghmai in the big blind. He moved all in for a total of 96,000 and Bansal called, which prompted Lai to quickly muck his cards.

Nariman Yaghmai: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Raghav Bansal: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and Yaghmai was eliminated in 24th place for HK$175,000 (~22,750), while Bansal took over the lead on the last three tables.

Ramos Doubles Through Tang

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Yang Wang raised to 15,000 and Danny Tang called from two seats over. Felipe Ramos moved all in for 180,000 and Wang folded. Tang eventually called for just over half of his stack and it was a big flip for the PokerStars Team Pro.

Felipe Ramos: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Danny Tang: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The board of {A-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts} improved Ramos and he scored a vital double.

Loeser Sends Kiat to the Rail

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Lee Wai Kiat shoved for the second time in a row and the all in was for 69,000. Manig Loeser called and the rest of the table folded.

Lee Wai Kiat : {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Manig Loeser: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The flop fell {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Loeser hit bottom set, but any jack would give Kiat a straight. However, both the {8-Clubs} turn and the {Q-Diamonds} river were blanks and Kiat fell in 23rd place for HK$192,000.

Tang Busts to Wang

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Danny Tang
Danny Tang

Danny Tang raised from early position and Yang Wang defended the big blind. On a flop of {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, Wang checked and called a small continuation bet by Tang before the {2-Hearts} turn went check, check. With around 70,000 in the middle, Wang slid forward a big tower of T-5,000 chips on the {4-Spades} river and Tang had around 100,000 behind.

After short consideration, Tang called and then sighed when Wang rolled over the {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a full house. Tang only had {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for the over pair and was eliminated in 22nd place for HK$192,000.

Ramos Hits the Rail

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Felipe Ramos
Felipe Ramos

With the departure of Felipe Ramos there are now no PokerStars Team Pros left in the field with Sergey Lebedev sending the Brazilian to the rail.

Ramos was the aggressor in the hand, opening to 14,000 from middle position before Lebedev re-raised to 40,000 in total from the hi-jack. The rest of the table quickly got out of the way and Ramos moved all-in for what looked to be around 350,000 with Lebedev calling instantly without even asking for a count.

The cards were turned over and Ramos, holding {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, found himself racing for his tournament life against Lebedev’s {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.

Unfortunately for Ramos the flop came down {8-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{3-Spades} to see Lebedev pair his ace to take a lead he would not relinquish when the {7-Spades} turn and {5-Diamonds} ran out to complete the hand, with the Russian stacking up to 777,000 when the dust settled.

Smith Becomes a Chip Millionaire After Busting Tsang

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Yan Shing Tsang
Yan Shing Tsang

Yan Shing Tsang raised to 14,000 from the button and Dan Smith, easily covering his opponent, called in the small blind in the last hand of the level.

The flop of {J-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} saw a check-call by Smith, who then check-raised the {9-Spades} turn. Tsang got his stack in only to discover the bad news.

Yan Shing Tsang: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Dan Smith: {A-Spades}{2-Spades}

The case ace and the two remaining fours could save the player from Hong Kong, but a blank {10-Spades} river sent him to the rail in 20th place for HK$210,000.
