Petrangelo Doubles, Still Short

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Rocco Palumbo opened the cutoff for 9,000 and small blind Nick Petrangelo shoved for 16,000. The big blind folded, Palumbo called.

Rocco Palumbo: {J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Nick Petrangelo: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Petrangelo doubled.

Nitsche Busts; Vaskaboinikau Doubles

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Xiaoyang Luo raised to 9,000 and Dominik Nitsche moved all in for 28,500 from the cutoff, which Luo called.

Dominik Nitsche: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Xiaoyang Luo: {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The board came {J-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Nitsche was eliminated.

In the very next hand, Luo made it 9,000 again and Mikalai Vaskaboinikau moved all in. Dietrich Fast in the small blind asked for a count and moved all in himself once it was determined to be for 51,000. Luo sighed and folded.

Mikalai Vaskaboinikau: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Dietrich Fast: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The {K-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} flop gave the Belorussian top set and Fast needed a jack to improve to a straight. After the {10-Clubs} turn, Vaskaboinikau locked up the double and the {J-Hearts} on the river gave Fast a meaningless straight.

Kanit Jams Into Luca

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

With more than 80,000 already in the middle and the turn showing {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, Ivan Luca bet 52,000 out of the big blind and Mustapha Kanit called from the under-the-gun position. The {5-Spades} fell on the river and Luca let the clock run down to two seconds before announcing a check.

Kanit moved all in for 99,000 and Luca asked for a count, used one time bank extension before letting go.

Timothy Adams Eliminated by Rocco Palumbo

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Within two hands, the second bullet of Timothy Adams has seen his stack reduced to zero as Rocco Palumbo first doubled through him and soon after finished off the job he had started.

First Palumbo won a race for 120,000 with {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} versus {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} as the board came {J-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. Then, it was Palumbo that raised to 9,000 under the gun and Adrian Mateos called from one seat over. Adams moved all in or 45,500 from the small blind and Palumbo called, while Mateos folded.

Timothy Adams: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Rocco Palumbo: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

The flop came {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and a queen was no option for Palumbo, but he got there with the {A-Spades} turn. Adams needed a queen to avoid the elimination, but the river was a blank {J-Diamonds} to see the Canadian on his way to the rail.

Thorel Back at Building a Stack

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

David Peters made it 10,000 to goand Jean-Noel Thorel on the button reraised to 20,000, which Peters called. After the flop of {Q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, Peters checked and a quick bet of 25,000 by Thorel ended the hand right there. The stack of the Frenchman has experienced some kind of roller coaster over the last few hours and moves up once again.

Adrian Mateos: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Koray Aldemir: {10-Spades}{8-Spades}

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{A-Spades} and Aldemir exited the tournament area.

Kenney and Chidwick Eliminated

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Oleksii Khoroshenin and Mustapha Kanit emerged as new big stacks while Ivan Luca added some more chips to the growing tower. In the meanwhile, Bryn Kenney on his first bullet and Stephen Chidwick on his second bullet have been eliminated.

Daniel Dvoress is still on the first bullet but grinds a short stack for quite some time now. Dvoress had raised on the button on the big blind of Ole Schemion and the latter bet 12,000 on the {6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} turn. Dvoress called and the {K-Clubs} river was checked to him. The clock ran down to three seconds and the Canadian moved all in, Schemion immediately let go.

Kho Joins; Luo Doubles

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Hong Kong's Kitson Kho joined the field while fellow Chinese player Xiaoyang Luo just doubled one table over. It was Stefan Schillhabel that raised the action and made it 7,000 to go. Luo called on the button and Dominik Nitsche in the small blind three-bet to 32,000. Schillhabel folded and Luo moved all in to see Nitsche ask for a count from the other side of the table.

Luo's shove was for 58,500 and Nitsche called.

Xiaoyang Luo: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}
Dominik Nitsche: {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

While the {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop gave the four-time WSOP bracelet winner some back door outs to a flush, Nitsche couldn't win the hand anymore as soon as the {7-Clubs} hit on the turn. That made the {2-Diamonds} river a mere formality and Nitsche dropped below the starting stack.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Machon checked. Bryn followed suit and checked as well, Schemion bet 17,000. Machon folded, Kenney called.

Kenney check-called another 34,000 on the {3-Diamonds} turn before he checked one final time on the {7-Clubs} river. Schemion moved in for 56,000 or so, Kenney folded. Schemion showed the {A-Clubs}.
