Flush Over Flush Favor for Lauck

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Jonas Lauck made it 1,200 to go and big stack Akin Tuna in the cutoff as well as Vladas Burneikis in the big blind called. The flop came {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Burneikis checked, Lauck bet 2,200 and was called only by Burneikis.

On the {9-Spades} turn, Lauck faced a check-raise from 4,000 to 8,000 and called before Burneikis led the {7-Spades} river for 8,000. Lauck now raised to 17,000 and Burneikis sighed before calling. Lauck was subsequently first to show as last aggressor and rolled over {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for the king-high flush. Burneikis mucked {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} face up and was left with a mere 5,000 along with plenty of visible frustration.

Short Day for ElkY

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante
Bertrand Grospellier
Bertrand Grospellier

We found Bertrand Grospellier pondering calling off his final 3,700 on a completed board of {5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{7-Spades}. His opponent in middle position had set him in and "ElkY" eventually decided to roll with his holding. What his cards were, we'll never know, as they hit the muck after {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} was turned over.

Zeng Busts Before Dinner

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Shiguang Zeng got his last 10,500 in with the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} only to see Andrei Streltsou look him up with the dominating {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. It was all over after the turn of a board {K-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Zeng headed to the rail before the dinner break.

Michal Mrakes still appears to be at the top of the counts, while several other players are slowly catching up.

Riess Takes from O'Dwyer

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Steve O'Dwyer raised to 1,000 and picked up two callers in Ryan Riess from one seat over on the button and Bertrand Grospellier in the big blind. The flop of {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} was checked to Riess, and his bet of 1,500 forced a fold from Grospellier, while O'Dwyer called.

After no betting action on the {7-Hearts} turn, O'Dwyer made it 3,500 to go on the {3-Clubs} river and Riess reluctantly called after some consideration. O'Dwyer tabled {J-Spades}{10-Spades} for a busted straight draw, which Riess had beat with {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for queens and sevens.

Fatehi Wins Another One

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

[Removed:172] opened the action with an under the gun raise to 1,200. He picked up no fewer than 3 callers: Ali Reza Fatehi (hijack), Hady El Asmar (small blind), and Eliyahu Saado (big blind).

The blinds and initial raiser checked to Fatehi on {3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and he bet 3,300. El Asmar and Saado called, Kramer folded.

All 3 of them checked the {6-Clubs} on the turn and the {Q-Clubs} completed the board. Small blind El Asmar tossed in a single 5,000-chip and Saado was quick to call. Fatehi over called and El Asmar showed {4-Spades}{5-Spades} for the turned straight. Saado mucked, Fatehi tabled {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the backdoor flush and raked in the pot.

Fatehi Takes a Minor Hit

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Hady El Asmar min-raised to 1,000 first to act and Ali Reza Fatehi three-bet to 2,800, which was called by John Mooney in the big blind and El Asmar. The flop fell {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Mooney checked, El Asmar moved all in for 7,275 and Fatehi was the only caller.

Hady El Asmar: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}
Ali Reza Fatehi: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

Neither the {K-Clubs} on the turn nor the {4-Diamonds} on the river changed the outcome of the hand anymore and El Asmar doubled, however he remains below the starting stack. Fatehi lost a small portion of his big stack, but is still the run-away chip leader at the table.
