The Grind Continues

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Julian Stuer raised to 100,000 and John Juanda called. On the {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop, Juanda check-called a bet of 60,000 and then the {Q-Hearts} turn was checked by both. Juanda then bet the {A-Spades} river for 300,000 and Stuer folded.

After a min-raised pot to the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop, both players checked. Stuer bet the {4-Spades} turn for 150,000 and Juanda called before check-folding the {6-Hearts} river to a bet worth 350,000.

Stuer raised to 100,000 and Juanda called. The flop came {K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Juanda checked, then called a bet worth 60,000 by Stuer. The hand ended on the {K-Hearts} turn when Juanda checked and Stuer claimed the pot with a bet of 150,000.

Stuer Doesn't Like Limping

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

John Juanda limped in on the button, Julian Stuer raised to 175,000 and Juanda called. The flop was {Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Juanda folded to an 110,000 continuation bet.

Two hands later, Juanda limped in again and Stuer bumped it to 175,000 once more. Juanda called and this time, both players checked the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop. Stuer bet 125,000 on the {2-Hearts} turn and Juanda called. Both players checked the {3-Hearts} on the river.

Stuer showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}, Juanda flashed the {Q-Hearts} and mucked.

Juanda Finds a Double

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

The start of the heads up belonged to Julian Stuer, but John Juanda managed to spike an early double to reduce the huge gap somewhat.

In a limped pot to the {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop, Juanda check-raised all in after a bet of 75,000 by Stuer and the latter called.

Julian Stuer: {J-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
John Juanda: {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

"Hold one time," the German and Austrian rail demanded and the turn was the {6-Spades}, but the {10-Spades} river improved Juanda and he doubled for 940,000.

Thomas Muehloecker Eliminated in 3rd Place (€471,400)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Thomas Muehloecker
Thomas Muehloecker

After a few hands without any showdown, Thomas Muehloecker had built his stack to around 1,200,000 while Julian Stuer kept either raising or open-shoving into both short stacks. Then, Stuer raised to 100,000 and Muehloecker three-bet shoved out of the small blind for 24 big blinds. John Juanda folded and Stuer called.

Julian Stuer: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Thomas Muchloecker: {J-Spades}{9-Spades}

The flop of {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} failed to improve Muehloecker, and he was in need of an eight after the {6-Diamonds} turn, as Stuer had improved to a straight. Instead, it was the blank {7-Diamonds} and Muehloecker was eliminated in 3rd place for €471,400. Juanda has at least €683,900 guaranteed and has to overcome a more than 6-1 lead of Stuer to claim the title.
