Yaroshevskyy and Vaskaboinikau Eliminated

Level 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

A short-stacked Mikalai Vaskaboinikau got his last 10 big blinds in with the {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Maxi Lehmanski looked him up with the superior {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Both players made trips tens on a board of {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{K-Hearts}, but the kicker was in favor of Lehmanski to reduce the field by one.

And then, Julian Stuer raised to 1,400 and Igor Yaroshevskyy shoved for 16,850. Stuer eventually called and then sighed when the cards were turned over.

Igor Yaroshevskyy: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Julian Stuer: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

The board came {A-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Spades} and Stuer rivered a set to eliminate Yaroshevskyy.

Fast and Urban Clash Big

Level 6 : 300/600, 100 ante
Dietrich Fast
Dietrich Fast

Dietrich Fast opened to 1,300 from middle position and David Urban to his left three-bet to 3,800. Fast wasn't done yet and put in a four-bet to 10,200, which Urban called. The flop was {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts} and both players checked.

On the {2-Hearts} turn, Fast bet 13,500 and Urban called. The river was the {A-Diamonds} and Fast checked. Urban used up nearly all of his allowed seconds before shoving all in, putting Fast to a decision for his remaining stack of 40,000.

Fast rose up from his chair and went in deep thought. The German studied Urban intensely and used all of his time bank to come up with a decision. Motionless, the headphone-wearing Urban stared blankly at the felt in order to give nothing away.

With mere seconds remaining on his final time bank, Fast slammed his stack in the middle to make the call.

Dietrich Fast: {A-}{K-}
David Urban: {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Urban's flopped straight bested Fast's top pair and the German was eliminated.

Boeree Takes from Winter

Level 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

Liv Boeree entered in the middle of level five and was just spotted at a table with Sean Winter. The latter checked a flop of {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Boeree bet 1,500, which Winter called.

After the {9-Clubs} turn, Winter checked and Boeree bet 4,000, which Winter then check-raised to 13,000. Boeree came along for the ride before the duo then ended up checking through the {2-Hearts} river. Winter flashed {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Boeree claimed the pot with {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for two pair.

Right after the hand was over, Ramin Hajiyev walked past the table with a ticket in the hand. "It's a short day," he said and Hajiyev will indeed play fewer than two hours before Day 1 is over.

Morgenstern Takes from Thorel

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Javier Gomez Zapatero raised to 1,200 from the cutoff and Jean-Noel Thorel three-bet to 2,500 on the button, which Anton Morgenstern called out of the big blind. Gomez Zapatero called as well and they headed three-ways to the {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop. It checked to Thore, who bet 7,000, and Morgenstern was the only caller.

Both players checked the {4-Hearts} turn and Morgenstern's bet of 12,300 on the river claimed the pot without showdown, as Thorel folded. Ole Schemion smiled over to Morgenstern while the latter raked in the pot and started implementing the chips into the own stack.

Cabrera Doubles Through Sontheimer

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

The second bullet had been running very well for Steffen Sontheimer thus far, but he just took a big hit after trying to push Sergio Cabrera out of a big pot.

Picking up the action on the {J-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop with 9,500 in the middle, Cabrera checked and Sontheimer bet 3,300 from one seat over. Cabrera called and did so again for 13,400 on the {6-Hearts} turn.

The Spaniard then checked the {6-Clubs} river and Sontheimer simply pushed forward a stack that amounted to 75,000. This had Cabrera covered by far, and the clock ran down to three seconds before the Spaniard called. Sontheimer announced eight-high and flipped over {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, Cabrera doubled for 31,750 with {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}.

Emelyanov Done; Gruissem In; Murthy Back

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Roman Emelyanov has become the first player to bust for the second time and thus he is no longer allowed to enter the competition. Ihar Soika and Viacheslav Buldygin were among those to run out of chips on their first bullet and may very well back, while Neel Murthy already did so. €25,000 Single-Day High Roller champion Philipp Gruissem is among thew new faces that are now in contention.

Murthy started his second bullet on a table with Nick Petrangelo and bet the heads-up turn {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} for 900 from the cutoff. Petrangelo in the small blind check-raised to 3,000 and Murthy called. The {4-Spades} river was checked through and Petrangelo turned over {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs} as winning hand.
