Sergio Aido Eliminated in 9th Place (€90,100)

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Sergio Aido
Sergio Aido

Action folded to Sergio Aido in the hijack and he shoved all in. Nobody asked for a count but it appeared to be a bit over 400,000. The cutoff, button and small blind folded but big blind Adrian Mateos called.

Adrian Mateos: {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Sergio Aido: {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The flop came {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, leaving room for some chopped pots. The {3-Spades} on the turn and {Q-Clubs} on the river were blanks, however, and Aido was eliminated in 9th place.

Aido got €90,100 for his deep run, the remaining 8 players are guaranteed €118,000 from here on out.

Mustapha Kanit Bubbles the €50,000 Single-Day High Roller

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Mustapha Kanit
Mustapha Kanit

From the cutoff, Daniel Dvoress shoved all in. Action folded to Mustapha Kanit in the big blind and he didn't need much time to make up his mind as he called rather quickly.

Mustapha Kanit: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Daniel Dvoress: {J-Spades}{9-Spades}

Kanit, who won the inaugural Single-Day High Roller here in Monaco 2 years ago, had the best hand but was at risk.

The {9-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} flop paired Dvoress but Kanit was still in the lead. The {9-Hearts} on the turn, however, helped Dvoress in front and Kanit needed a ten or queen to stay alive.

The {4-Hearts} river was a blank and Kanit hit the rail in 10th place. The remaining 9 players are in the money and guaranteed €90,100.

Dvoress Fires Three Barrels Against O'Dwyer

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Daniel Dvoress raised to 120,000 and Steve O'Dwyer called out of the big blind. O'Dwyer then check-called a bet of 90,000 on the {K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop before doing so again for 360,000 on the {5-Hearts} turn. After the {A-Hearts} river, O'Dwyer checked again and Dvoress made it 510,000 to go.

The clock ran down to one second and O'Dwyer, who already had the calling chips in the hand, released his cards into the muck.

The Double Up Festival Continues

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Sergio Aido moved all in from under the gun and the action folded to Mustapha Kanit in the big blind. Once the other table was finished, Kanit called for his last 370,000 and had a flip on the money bubble.

Mustapha Kanit: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Sergio Aido: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The board came {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Kanit doubled. Igor Kurganov walked up to him from the rail and asked "is that good?" and Kanit turned around, then joked loudly "it is damn good, now give me my money."

Not much later, Steve O'Dwyer pushed from the button. Mustapha Kanit folded his small blind, Sergio Aido called from the big blind.

Steve O'Dwyer: {A-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Sergio Aido: {K-Clubs}{8-Spades}

The {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop pared both. Nick Petrangelo came by and said to O'Dwyer "You got this."

It turned out, O'Dwyer didn't had it as the {8-Diamonds} hit the turn. The {6-Diamonds} on the river was a blank and Aido doubled his 215,000 stack.

Holz Doubles, Kanit Short

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Daniel Dvoress opened the cutoff for 100,000 and Fedor Holz shoved from the button for 550,000. Big blind Mustapha Kanit shoved over the top, Dvoress folded.

Fedor Holz: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
Mustapha Kanit: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Holz doubled, Kanit was left with 190,000.

Two hands later, Kanit shoved for 155,000 from the button. Small blind Sergio Aido shoved over the top and the big blind folded.

Mustapha Kanit: {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Sergio Aido: {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

The {J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop was good for Kanit but the {Q-Clubs} on the turn made things iffy. The {Q-Diamonds} on the river, however, was a blank and Kanit doubled.

Petrangelo Doubles Through Mateos

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Nick Petrangelo raised to 100,000 and Erik Seidel defended the big blind. On the {K-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, Seidel check-called a bet of 50,000 and the {6-Diamonds} turn was checked through. On the {7-Hearts} river, Seidel bet 150,000 and was called to flip over {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for a winning straight.

Adrian Mateos then open-shoved with his massive stack from the small blind to force a fold from Ramin Hajiyev, and shoved the next hand from the button also. This time, Petrangelo called for 680,000 in the big blind. "Just to let you guys know, I just bubbled one of these 10k with tens versus queen-five. Can we make him muck now because it is such a crap hand?" Petrangelo said.

Nick Petrangelo: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Adrian Mateos: {J-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

The board came {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Petrangelo doubled.

Isaac Haxton Eliminated - Hand-for-Hand on the Bubble

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Isaac Haxton
Isaac Haxton

It wasn't Isaac Haxton's day today, he lost some hands where he was the favorite going in, and his last hand wasn't any different.

Adrian Mateos shoved from the cutoff to put maximum pressure on all the players behind him. The button and small blind folded, Haxton didn't hesitate and called from the big blind for 700,000 or so.

Isaac Haxton: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Adrian Mateos: {A-Spades}{7-Spades}

The board came {Q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and with the ace on the river, Haxton's tournament was finished.

Just seconds before his bust, Haxton had told the players in the tournament that he won the Single-Day High Roller in Prague wearing the same t-shirt that he was wearing now.

"That's what I get for that speech," Haxton said with a wry smile.

With that, the remaining 10 players are on the money bubble and Mike Watson was moved over to table one and the bubble procedure was explained. Hand for hand is now being enforced, and if two players on the same table bust, the stack will decide over the bubble boy. If two players bust at the same time on different tables, the min cash of €90,100 will be split.

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Erik Seidel opened the action with a raise to 100,000 in the cutoff and the action folded to Nick Petrangelo in the big blind. He moved all in and looked back to Seidel with the words "let me live big daddy." Seidel replied "I think I have to call" and did so moments later.

Nick Petrangelo: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Erik Seidel: {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}

The board came {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Petrangelo doubled up.
