Douglas Ferreira Souza opened under the gun for 57,000 and got called in 2 spots: Raffaele Sorrentino on the button and Bertrand Grospellier in the big blind.

Grospellier checked on {Q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Spades} and initial raiser Souza bet 74,000. Sorrentino called, Grospellier folded.

Souza bet another 148,000 on the {3-Hearts} turn and Sorrentino called again.

As the {4-Hearts} completed the board, Souza shoved all in. Sorrentino had 430,000 behind and was facing the biggest decision of his tournament life. He tanked for a long time and the clock was called on him.

When the tournament director started counting down, Sorrentino still didn't seem too sure of what to do. With 2 seconds left to act, Sorrentino smashed some chips in the pot to call.

"Good call!" said Souza before showing {10-Spades}{9-Spades}. Sorrentino slammed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} on the table and started collecting.
