Lebed Loses Flip; Manole and Bayley Also Gone

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Ezequiel Lebed

Andrei Alecu raised to 5,000 from the cutoff, Ezequiel Lebed shoved 27,000 on the button, Paul Esau shoved 32,700 from the big blind, and Alecu quickly went out of the way.

Ezequiel Lebed: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Paul Esau: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

The Argentinian high roller needed to win the flip to stay alive but didn't do so on a {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{Q-Spades}{5-Spades} board.

At another table, Mihai Manole, Marius Asanache, Adam Shriki, and Lawrence Bayley have also run out of chips. 26 players are left now.

Givony Finishes Gavrilut in Style

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Alexandru Gavrilut committed his last 9,200 in late position. Tom Givony made the call from the small blind.

Alexandru Gavrilut: {Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Tom Givony: {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}

Gavrilut let out a chuckle as he just lost the majority of his stack to the exact same hand Givony showed up with again. Gavrilut failed to match any of his overcards on {K-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and he was eliminated.

Two in a Row for Givony

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Tom Givony

Dawid Borkowski raised in early position, Tom Givony three-bet on the button, and Borkowski called. Borkowksi check-called 9,600 from Givony on a {K-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop before both players checked the {9-Clubs} turn and {7-Hearts} river.

Borkowski showed {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Givony tabled the winner with {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a rivered pair of sevens.

In the next hand, Alexandru Gavrilut raised to 4,500 and Givony called in position. Gavrilut bet 3,500 on the {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop and Givony called. On the {9-Clubs} turn, Gavrilut bet 7,300, Givony raised to 18,400, and Gavrilut called.

The river was the {8-Spades} and Givony quickly bet 20,000. Gavrilut pondered for over a minute before calling the majority of his remaining stack off but was shown the bad news as Givony tabled {2-Spades}{2-Hearts} for a set.

With the two pots, Givony moved up to 190,000.
