At 1 p.m local time the 213 players that survived the four starting days came together with a goal of reaching the final day. After 10 levels of 60 minutes each, 15 have done just that. They will all return tomorrow for a bigger share of the €549,990 prize pool.
Ulrich Pauls is on top of the chip counts with 2,653,000 chips after having won several incredible hands. He eliminated Raffael Targowski and Dustin Mangold in one hand where he had jack-ten and was up against the pocket fours of Targowski and the ace-king of Mangold. He hit a jack on the turn to win the hand. Just a bit earlier he also eliminated both Christoph Wagener and Erik Scheidt in two separate hands where he held pocket fives and they had ace-king and got no help from the board.
Second in the chip counts is Karolis Domarkas with 2,234,000 chips. A chunk of those chips were collected when he won a flip against Maximilian Silz with ace-king against jacks and he hit a king on the turn. And third on the overnight podium is PokerStars Team Pro Marcin Horecki who started the day with only 26,000 and finished with much multiplied amount of that: 1,825,000 chips. He collected some of those chips by eliminating Johannes Wassmuth when he hit a straight with his queen-ten against the ace-nine of his opponent.
Other players that will return tomorrow with an above average stack are [Removed:431] (1,620,000), Alaettin Keles (1,463,000), and Behzad Zarnegar (1,425,000). Further players to keep an eye on are Michal Lubas (635,000), who finished second in the 2017 PokerStars Festival Rozvadov Main Event for €91,000, and €2,200 High Roller Runner Up De Han Kim (284,000). They will both be looking to win the tournament so they can add that to their palmares.

Action will continue at 1 p.m. local time on Level 23 and blinds of 12,000/24,000 with a running ante of 4,000. A winner will be crowned tomorrow so keep following all the updates by the PokerNews live reporting team.
On the tail end of a big pot between Alaettin Keles and Ulrich Pauls, the former checked the river and Keles bet 275,000. Pauls was not happy at all about the run out but eventually called. Keles showed for the nut flush and Pauls mucked the .
Right after, Pauls limped in from the hijack and Raffael Targowski moved all in for 253,000 from the cutoff. Dustin Mangold moved all in over the top for 371,000 in the small blind and Pauls gave it some thought, said "okay, good luck guys," and tossed in a chip for the call.
Raffael Targowski:
Dustin Mangold:
Ulrich Pauls:
The flop was a massive sweat for Pauls with the open-ended straight draw, and he improved to a pair with the turn. The fell on the river and that sent Targowski to the rail in 17th place for €5,000, while Mangold takes home the same amount for his 16th place finish.
Christoph Wagener shoved all in from the small blind and Ulrich Pauls snap-called from the big blind.
Ulrich Pauls:
Christoph Wagener:
Pauls had just eliminated Erik Scheidt in the previous hand and now he had pocket fives again with his opponent holding ace-king. The board ran out - no danger again for the fives of Pauls and he has another elimination to his name as Wagener has been eliminated in 19th place.
Karolis Domarkas raised from early position and Maximilian Silz three-bet out of the big blind with a stack of 520,000 in total. Dormakas moved all in and Silz called.
Maximilian Silz:
Karolis Domarkas:
The board came and Dormakas said "good game, I am on fire."
Karim Rebei raised to 35,000 in the hijack and Peter Jaksland called in the cutoff. On the flop, Rebei continued for 52,000 and Jaksland called before the Algerian shoved the turn for well more than the size of the pot. Jaksland snap-called and Rebei was caught with the fingers in the cookie jar.
Karim Rebei:
Peter Jaksland:
No card could help Rebei and the river was a mere formality. Jaksland lost a small pot against Johannes Schulze shortly after and remained at around 1.3 million as a result.
Karolis Domarkas raised to 22,000 from the button and was called by Alaettin Keles in the small blind. Philipp Lütkemeier, three-bet to 76,000. Domarkas called but Keles needed some more time to think and then decided to fold.
The flop came , Lütkemeier checked, Domarkas bet 90,000 which sent Lütkemeier into the tank. After a while, he decided to call.
The turn brought them the , Lütkemeier checked again. Domarkas continued with a bet of 127,000 and again Lütkemeier went into the tank. After about a minute or two, he decided to fold.
There are only 41 players remaining as the latest batch of casualties includes Uwe Schrieber, [Removed:321] Qasim, Robert Zabel, and Hamid Zazai.
Igor Rybak doubled through Ulrich Pauls after his push with on the flop was called by Ulrich Pauls, who had bet 58,000. Pauls showed for top pair and the turn and river improved the Russian to a flush.
Schrieber lost his stack to [Removed:431] to make the latter a chip millionaire while Karim Rebei sent Qasim to the rail. Rebei had folded to a big raise by Peter Jaksland before and moved all in over the top of the push by Qasim.
[Removed:321] Qasim:
Karim Rebei:
The board came and the two pair of Qasim were counterfit on the river.
PokerStars Team Pro Marcin Horecki was sitting with a big stack in front of him after he had just doubled up against Rafal Adamkiewicz. The board and hole cards were already gone but Horecki was kind enough to tell us what had happened:
"He raised to 18,000, I three-bet to 46,000, he shoved, I call. I had less and I had aces. He had queens. Nothing on the board, jack-high. I have about 460,000 now."
Joining the action on the flop of , Claudio Celenza bet 25,000 in the hijack and Andrei Nodea raised to 60,000 on the button. Celenza moved all in and Nodea stared at the tournament screen before calling with a near identical stack.
Claudio Celenza:
Andrei Nodea:
The turn and river were blanks and the stacks were counted, Celenza was indeed covered by a few blinds and was sent to the rail.
