Tsoyi Sends One Home

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Goken Okawa got all his chips in the middle before the flop against Roman Tsoyi who had him covered.

Okawa: {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Tsoyi: {J-}{J-}

Tsoyi had the preflop advantage with his jacks and Okawa needed to improve in order to double up. The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{A-Hearts}{5-Clubs} which was no help to Okawa and Tsoyi took the pot to send him to the rai.

With about 40,000 chips already in the middle on a flop of {K-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, Oleg Shalaumov had already committed 14,000 chips and was facing a shove from Yuki Ko in early position for what looked like about 80,000. After a few moments of consideration, Shalaumov folded and Ko took the chips.

Celina Lin Felted

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Celina Lin
Celina Lin

PokerStars Team Pro Celina Lin had recently lost the majority of her stack and was left with just 3,600 chips, which she moved into the pot from middle position. Hirai Junko three-bet to 9,000 from the button, the blinds got out of the way, and the two players tabled their hands.

Lin: {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Junko: {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

Lin had the preflop advantage with the better ace, but Junko took the lead when the flop fell {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} to pair Junko's four, although Lin also picked up an open-ended straight draw. The {6-Spades} on the turn was no help to Lin and neither was the {K-Clubs} river, so Junko took the pot to eliminate Lin.
