Ahmed Abdella
Ahmed Abdella

Ahmed Abdella three-bet shoved his short stack for around 30,000 with the {A-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Valentin Frunze as initial raiser called with the slightly inferior {A-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

The board came {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and that was it for Abdella.

One hand later, Mladen Ivanov moved all in for 13,000 in the dark without looking at his cards. Mikael Guenni reshoved and Michel Chen called all in from the big blind with the biggest stack of the trio.

Mladen Ivanov: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Mikael Guenni: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Michel Chen: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

After a board of {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs}, Ivanov tripled and Guenni doubled for 31,000 through Chen.

Cuco Franco Next to Fall; Chen Follows Suit

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Michel Chen
Michel Chen

Andre Cuco Franco got his last 10 big blinds in with the {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Jonathan Therme looked him up put of the blinds with {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. The flop fell {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}{6-Clubs} and the Portuguese already tapped the table in defeat, he needed a runner runner miracle. It was all over after the {9-Diamonds} turn and the {9-Clubs} river completed the board.

At the same time, Michel Chen three-bet shoved for less than 90,000 against an open raise by Eric Le Goff and the latter snap-called with {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}. Chen was in desperate shape with {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and the board came {A-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts} to eliminate Chen.

Moorman Busts in Three-Way Pot

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Chris Moorman
Chris Moorman

Chris Moorman moved all in for his last 49,500 from under the gun and Nathan Manuel called in the cutoff, as did Julien Sitbon in the big blind. On the {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop, both players checked. Sitbon then bet the {10-Spades} turn for 52,000 and Manuel called before the Frenchman fired another 75,000 on the {6-Spades} river. Manuel called and the dealer announced "all cards turn over please," as it was an all in showdown after all.

Chris Moorman: {J-Spades}{8-Spades}
Julien Sitbon: {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Nathan Manuel: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

Moorman had gotten it in with the worst hand but turned a flush, only to see his triple up denied on the river as Manuel filled up to the better flush. The hand cost Sitbon a fortune and he lost almost two third of his stack.

After a board of {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, Sitbon was eliminated in 28th place.

Robert Willis: {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Benjamin Morrison: {K-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

Drozdov and Ashton Eliminated

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Matthew Ashton
Matthew Ashton

James Akenhead opened from the button and short stack Mikhail Drozdov, who had barely played any hand since the bubble burst, got his last few big blinds in from the big blind. Akenhead quickly called.

Mikhail Drozdov: {Q-Spades}{8-Spades}
James Akenhead: {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Despite picking up an additional flush draw, the board of {7-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{9-Clubs} bricked and Drozdov was sent to the payout desk.

Nathan Manuel then raised from the cutoff and David Urban called in the small blind. Matthew Ashton pushed from the big blind for around 100,000 and Manuel folded, Urban called.

Matthew Ashton: {K-Hearts}{4-Spades}
David Urban: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

The board came {Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and that was it for Ashton as well.
