Koran Busts to Chen

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

A raising war broke out between Michael Koran and Michel Chen, with the former ending up at risk for around 40,000 with {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}. Chen had the bigger stack and the dominating hand in {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}.

The Frenchman flopped well on {Q-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and the double up was locked up on the {3-Clubs} turn, making the {3-Hearts} on the river a formality.

Katchalov Busts Battista

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Eugene Katchalov
Eugene Katchalov

After a raise by the hijack, Eugene Katchalov called in the cutoff and Pablo Battista came along from the big blind. On a flop of {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{8-Spades}, the action was checked to the initial raiser and he continued for 2,200, both Katchalov and Battista called.

On the {5-Hearts} turn, Battista then led for 3,000. The initial raiser folded and Katchalov raised to 12,000 with the Italian then moving all in. Katchalov quickly called and both players turned over an ace.

Pablo Battista: {A-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Eugene Katchalov: {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The {2-Clubs} on the river was a blank and the stacks were counted. Katchalov had 46,100 and Battista less to see the Italian join the rail.

Pierre Neuville was down to around 12,000 after paying off the top pair of an opponent and soon after busted, only to show up with a new ticket on his second bullet. Andrey Andreev and Vladimir Troyanovskiy also got back in, while Kully Sidhu and Santosh Srinivas are on their first bullet.

Lew is "Killing the Table"

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante
Randy "nanonoko" Lew
Randy "nanonoko" Lew

The pot wasn't really big, only around 16,000 chips, with the board reading {A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{9-Spades}, and Rasmus Agerskov bet 10,700 out of the small blind with about as much behind. Randy Lew dashed out a big stack of T-5,000 chips forward to move all in and Agerskov was sent into the think tank during his massage.

Ultimately, the time was called and the one minute ran down. With 20 seconds left, Agerskov called. Lew turned over {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for the nut full house. "Do I have to show now?" Agerskov asked with a grin on the face, and then flashed {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

[Removed:170] noted "you are killing the table, one by one," to Lew, who let out a big smile. The PokerStars Team Pro moved into the top spot towards the end of the registration period.

The Time to Jam has Come

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

The last two levels of late registration also signify the end of the re-entry period and that's when things usually become heated for the players with less than starting stack. But even the bigger stacks tend to dash out some moves to increase the stack or try with another bullet.

Within quick succession, Marcin Jaworski and Marcin Chmielewski both moved all in. Jaworski did so for 44,000 on the {Q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} when facing a bet worth 6,500 and the opponent of the Pole folded.

Then, Chmielewski opened to 3,000 and Paris Stavridis three-bet to 8,500 from one seat over on the button. Chmielewski pushed and Stavridis folded after brief consideration.
