Molaci is Missing

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

The seat of Kayhan Molaci is empty and table neighbor Dinesh Alt confirmed the elimination. Down to around 10 big blinds, Molaci lost a race with pocket tens against the king-jack of Alt.

The same table now features Slaven Popov, while Josef Gulas (senior that is) is also in. His son, also named Josef Gulas, was still in the €1,100 Main Event with a decent stack.

Araujo Drops Some

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Scott Hanna raised to 500 and Francisco Araujo three-bet to 1,500 on the button, which Anestis Anagnostidis in the big blind called. Hanna also came along for the ride and the flop fell {J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. All three players checked and the {A-Spades} turn was checked to Araujo.

The Argentinian bet 2,200 and Anagnostidis check-min-raised to 4,400. Hanna folded and Araujo called. The {4-Diamonds} fell on the river and Araujo checked behind to see Anagnostidis turn over {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} for a set of threes. That was good enough and the Greek scooped the pot.

Meiri Back on Track

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

On the three-way flop of {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}, Paris Stavridis checked in the hijack and Marcin Jaworski bet 3,000 in the cutoff. Aviv Meiri on the button raised to 10,000 and just Jaworski called. The {6-Spades} appeared on the turn and Jaworski checked. Meiri bet 8,500 with around 10,500 behind and his opponent folded.

"The spade saved me," Jaworski added. The very aggressive Meiri jumped back above starting stack, and has been involved in many hands early on.

Grecu First Casualty of the Day

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

After having lost the vast majority of his stack to Zoltan Ban, Cristi Grecu was just spotted all in for the last 5,125 on the {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} turn. There were around 3,400 in the pot and Georgios Vrakas gave it some thought, then eventually tossed in the chips on the button.

The {J-Hearts} river failed to improve Grecu and he was eliminated.

Molaci Gets Even Shorter

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Tomas Soderstrom defended his big blind against the raise of short stack Kayhan Molaci and check-called a bet worth 1,100 on the {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop. The duo checked the {6-Spades} turn and Soderstrom then moved all in after the {8-Hearts} river. Molaci open-folded {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and fell down to just over 10 big blinds.

"That's How Justice Works"

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Scott Hanna scored a lucky and triple at the end of Day 1d of the Main Event last night, but just walked into the High Roller area with a ticket in the hand. "See, that's how justice works. Yesterday I sucked out and today I got it in with kings against sevens, and the seven came," Hanna said.

The American, now living in the Czech Republic, is among the latest entries along with Tomas Soderstrom, Erkan Soenmez and Rasmus Agerskov.

Molaci Even Shorter After Aces get Cracked

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Kayhan Molaci may very well become the first casualty of day 1 as his aces just got cracked. Molaci was the initial raiser from under the gun and picked up two callers in Milan Sasek and Hubert Matuszewski. Until the {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, there were already plenty of chips in the middle and Molaci bet 6,500.

Sasek called and Matuszewski got out of the way to see Molaci turn over {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}. Sasek had the {A-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for a busted nut flush draw and trips on the river.

Dulowski Takes from Ulvrell

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

The first major hand of the day saw the stack of Daniel Ulvrell being cut down significantly after he paid off the quads of Krzysztof Dulowski.

On the heads up flop of {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, Dulowski bet 4,000 into 7,000 out of the small blind and Ulvrell called. On the {9-Diamonds} turn the duo checked before Dulowski made it 10,700 to go on the {J-Diamonds} river. Ulvrell quickly tossed in a single chip for the call and was shown {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} for quads by Dulowski.
