Daher Empties the Clip

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Francisco Araujo raised to 350 and Albert Daher, in his first hand of the tournament, three-bet to 1,100. Araujo called and quickly checked the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop. Daher continued with 1,600 and Araujo called.

On the {4-Clubs} turn, Araujo check-called a 2,350 bet from Daher. The river brought the {2-Spades} and after another check, Daher now fired 8,600. Araujo needed a long time to come to a decision and eventually got the clock called on him. Mere seconds after the tournament director started the countdown Araujo folded his hand.

Araujo Playing Snug

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

No less than five players paid 600 to see a flop of {K-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts} appear. All players checked, which prompted Marian Fridrich to bet 1,000 on the {6-Clubs} turn. Francisco Araujo made the call in position.

The {2-Hearts} landed on the river and both players checked. Araujo showed {A-}{K-} and the Argentinian qualifier took down the pot.

Capoblanco First to Go

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

On an {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} board, there was around 23,000 in the pot and Antonello Capoblanco moved all in for 18,325.

Fridrich mulled over his decision and got the clock called on him. It wasn't really needed, as Fridrich quickly slid in a call after time was called.

Antonello Capoblanco: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Marian Fridrich: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}

Capoblanco was drawing to the remaining two kings to survive, but the {10-Spades} on the river wasn't one of them.

"Good luck with the rebuy", pipped the vocal Martin Kabrhel while Capoblanco was making his exit.

Meiri Folds Kings In Six-Bet Pot

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante
Aviv Meiri
Aviv Meiri

Tomas Jozonis opened to 500 on the button. Aviv Meiri three-bet to 1,800 from the small blind and Jozonis four-bet to 4,000. Meiri wasn't done yet, as he cut out a five-bet to 8,000. Unfazed, the Lithuanian put in another raise, making it 14,500 to go. After some consideration, Meiri came along with the call to play a six-bet pot with his opponent.

The flop was {Q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Meiri checked. Jozonis bet 8,500 and got a call from the Israelian. The dealer burned and turned the {7-Spades} and Meiri checked again. This time, Jozonis simply moved all in for 20,925.

Meiri intensely stared down his opponent and took minutes to come to a decision. Eventually, with a pain-staken face, he open-folded {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}.

"This would be a good time to show a bluff. Show a six!", [Removed:197] laughed.

Jozonis didn't show anything, though, and silently raked in the big pot.

Katchalov Unfazed

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante
Eugene Katchalov
Eugene Katchalov

On a {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop, Eugene Katchalov bet 1,700 and got the newly entered Luca Stevanato as the only caller. The {4-Diamonds} on the turn prompted a big 5,200 bet from the Ukranian, but Stevananato wasn't backing down yet and came along.

The {7-Clubs} on the river connected massively to the board. Even with the draws coming in, an unfazed Katchalov continued his aggression with a bet of 12,000. That was sufficient, as Stevanato finally raised the white flag and surrendered his hand.
