Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier

Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier has failed to advance to Day 2. When last seen, the Team PokerStars Pro was down to 12 blinds and those are gone as well.

Jakopec Busts Kochner

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Andreas Kochner made it 5,000 to go and Mario Jakopec defended his big blind. The flop came down {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and after Jakopec checked, Kochner simply jammed for 32,000.

Jakopec had a visibly tough decision to make. It took the Croatian a minute, then he decided on a call.

Andreas Kochner: {10-}{10-}
Mario Jakopec: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

Jakopec was way ahead with his pair of kings. Kochner needed to find a ten, but failed to do on either the turn or the river and was forced to the rail.

Break

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

The field is on their last fifteen-minute break of the day. After this break, two more levels of 45 minutes will be played until the chips are bagged for the night.

Mrakes Still Leading the Pack

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Michal Mrakes
Michal Mrakes

After the massive setup that launched Michal Mrakes to the top, the Czech star kept grinding himself up and now sits at nearly 200k.

Mrakes added another 10,000 to his stack by defending {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and calling two barrels on {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{A-Spades}. The {5-Clubs} on the river got checked by both players and Mrakes' hand was good.

Lauck Trending Up

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Jonas Lauck
Jonas Lauck

2016 WCOOP Main Event winner Jonas "IIJayJayII" Lauck is on the rise. The German busted Dharmendra Thacker, one of the many Indians in the field today, to move up to 55,000.

Lauck held {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and got it against Thacker's {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} on an {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop. The {3-Clubs} on the turn and {9-Diamonds} on the river kept his hand in front and secured the knockout for the €5,300 King's High Roller finalist.

Jozonis Falls

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

High roller Tomas Jozonis, who played the €5,300 King's High Roller earlier this week to no success, found his demise at the hands of Mirco Peters. Jozonis fell in two steps: first he ran {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} into Peters' {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}, then with his last chips he ran into the nut straight of both Peters and Vladimir Troyanovskiy.

Jozonis cashed the $25,000 High Roller at the Aussie Million in January, where he cashed $72,545. In Rozvadov, the number of cashes is still zero for the Lithuanian, who will probably be playing both Day 1d and the €2,200 High Roller on Sunday.
