All the Way from India

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante
Siddharth Jain
Siddharth Jain

Siddharth Jain is one of the players who entered on Day 1c. Jain hails from India and qualified online on PokerStars for just €20. The 35-year old, who lived for a long time in America, moved to Mumbai in India six years ago. He travelled 3,908 miles to get to Rozvadov, as it sounded like a great destination for him to visit.

Jain is absolutely no slouch when it comes to poker; he had a deep run at the 2006 WSOP Main Event, where he finished 26th for $494,797. He also played in a lot of EPT Main Events. We'll keep an eye on Jain as he will find out how far his €20 investment in this trip will take him.

Seat Open!

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Lukas Vagner is presumably the first player to run out of chips on Day 1c. The Czech was involved in three-way action on a {9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} board, with the pot just a little over 3,000. After Vladimir Schwarz had bet, Vagner shoved his stack of over 20,000 in the middle. Shay Aniuwalia also went all in and Schwarz folded.

Lukas Vagner: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Shay Aniuwalia: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

Vagner was drawing dead and quickly left the tournament area after the meaningless {K-Diamonds} on the river.

Fiorentin Picks Some Up

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Three players saw a flop of {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Spades} appear. Enrico Fiorentin bet 2,600 from the big blind both Michael Ernest and Pierre Mothes called. On the {K-Diamonds} turn, Fiorentin bet 7,000, Ernest called and Mothes folded. Both players checked the {9-Clubs} on the river.

Fiorentin showed {10-Spades}{8-Clubs} for two pair and Ernest mucked.

While all the talk in the €5,300 King's High Roller was about Vladimir Troyanovskiy and Eugene Katchalov, Tomas Soderstrom didn't do too bad for himself either. The Swedish pro finished third and cashed €26,920, making his trip already a success.

Where Troyanovskiy and Katchalov already got through on Day 1b, Soderstrom took the extra day off and will try to navigate the field today.

Over 800 Entries in Total

The total number of players on Day 1c is already up to 380. Combined with the 183 on Day 1a and 255 on Day 1b, the field has now surpassed the 800 mark. It's a big increase from the last incarnation of the Festival here, then dubbed Eureka, when 682 players showed up.
