Day 1c Started
It's time for Day 1c of the €1,100 PokerStars Festival Main Event in Rozvadov! The flagship event of the series kicks off it's third of four starting days. After a record-setting 183 entrants on Day 1a and 255 on Day 1b, the Main Event will shatter it's already lofty €500,000 guarantee.
176 players have already made their way to Day 2, which will be played on Sunday. Peter Kamaras finished as the chipleader on Day 1a (270,600), hometown hero Michal Mrakes bagged the biggest stack with 264,100 yesterday.
King's Casino is preparing their room for an even bigger Day 1c. Rehman Kassam, winner of the first PokerStars Festival Main Event in London, and runner-up Daniel Harwood will be playing on Day 1c. The hugely popular Team PokerStars Online Pro Jaime Staples will also be making his appearance today.
Cards for Day 1c will be in the air at 2 p.m. and ten levels of 45 minutes each will be played, with breaks scheduled in between. Late registration closes after level 6 and players will start with 30,000 in chips. Players have just one bullet, but all eliminated players are allowed a second chance later tonight. Day 1d kicks off at 10 p.m. and will be a 20-minute turbo re-entry, only accessible for those players that failed to advance on one of the three starting days.
The field will be combined on Sunday to play Day 2 together. The winner of this massive Main Event will be crowned on Monday night. PokerNews will be on the floor to cover both Day 1c and Day 1d on what's going to be a long day. Don't miss any of the action as Day 1c gets underway!
